If you saw the Charlie Kirk memorial service and actually listened to VP Vance and President Trump speak, and also Erika Kirk, we should all lament at weak politicians we have on both sides. An activist PM who speaks like he is, weak and timid, coupled with Bowen , Wong and Chalmers, let’s not forget Sussan Ley and most of her side either, none of them speak with passion and authority and Australia is poorer for it.

Not sure how we overcome what we have, but the lurch to the left hasn’t been successful, and with a weak opposition it seems there is more poor economic and financial pain to come.

“I’ll be honest,” she continued. “I told our lawyer, I want the government to decide this. I do not want that man’s blood on my ledger.”

She doesn’t need to. She already knows that the prosecution is seeking the death penalty. If she wanted to truly demonstrate forgiveness she would have been going out of her way to oppose the death penalty. She’s having it both ways by claiming she forgives the murderer while doing nothing to oppose him being killed. It’s theatrics.

She expressed her opinion in public. She’s leaving it up to the government. That means she is ok if the government gives the murderer the death penalty (which she already knew they were seeking) even though she “forgives” him. Actions speak louder than words.
