Another season comes to an end for the Warriors, our NSW Cup team however marches on into the Grand Final against the Dragons, after a 42-14 win over the Eels. 2025 was a good year for the Warriors, finishing 6th was beyond what many expected at the beginning of the season, particularly after the way the season started in Vegas against the Raiders. The future looks bright for the Warriors, with the young crop of forwards coming through, Leka and Vaimauga played the entire season and vital parts of the team, Leka has become our game breaker, other players such as Laban, EIT, Stowers-Smith and Leiataua played important roles during the season. With new recruits for next year such as Linnane and Gannon and a successful NSW Cup team, roll on 2026. Below is how our team looks for 2026 currently:

So these are the players able to negotiate with other clubs (including the new Perth club) after 1 November. I can see a few of them being targeted for a move. Kinda hoping we can lock some of them down, especially Metcalf and CHT, before they hit the open market.

Ever since Johnson and Harris retired I have been waiting for a superstar signing for the backline.

Then Dylan Walker left, we must have some cash despite the well deserved upgrades for the young up and coming forwards.

when are we signing a top quality backline player?

Slightly worse defence that DWZ, but significantly faster. So I guess its a net positive.

DWZ will not get any faster and hasn't really shown any improvement in defence . Having said that, I suspect AKP will start in the reserve grade side. Webby has shown a reluctance to move DWZ.
AKP has a couple of big things going for him though, Speed to burn and a double barrelled surname.

We’ve had some exotic double-barrelled names but he’s certainly the first Pakistani-Portuguese.

I think it will come down to trial form and who the right centre is
Has anyone seen him play on the right? I can only ever remember seeing him play left side.

Hopefully he's not one of those wings that's only capable of playing well on one side of the field.

I want to see him play, but not if it means faffing about with RTS again.

I think it's a Polynesian Pereira rather than a Portuguese one?

It was just a joke about the names I know he’s not Portuguese (although surely the Samoan Pereiras exist because of a Portuguese-ancestor somewhere along the line?)
