Fur huck this forum is running / operating super slow. Did they sign up with some sort of dial up provider at mates rates.
'Me' nets working fine and I am having no problems with other sites just this bastard.

Working a treat now, the way it should. I don't know who did what or who just got back from the short term Optus secondment agreement and cleared some back buttons but thanks a million.

It's working very noice and you are all doing very well.

Anyone had a holiday in Japan?

I want to go with family to Osaka and Tokyo, however there are options to fly direct to one or the other and take bullet train, just wondering if anyone has any experience with this, what worked for you or what to avoid?

thanks

Japan is one of the few experiences that has to be done with some but not all organisations. Beauty is, a bullet train can take you from either destination in relative decent timeline. Both cities are worth a visit, just depends how long you want or need to spend on either..
Both cities could be done in a few days or more like a week. Dunno if your keen on alpine trip both that’s another conversation all together.
Amazing country and people

Thanks SB, what do you mean by organisations?

We are needing 3 days in Tokyo and a travel day to Osaka and then another 3 or 4 days there before returning to Tokyo to come back. Definitely on the bullet train between the 2, any info you have is great.

Long time ago now but we went to Japan back in 2005. Didn’t go to Tokyo though, I had a mate who was the deputy general manager of the Hilton hotel in Nagoya and we went and stayed with him for a week.

One of the best experiences I ever had on overseas trip. Japan was definitely a place I thought I would never ever go to but with my mate there it made it much easier as he speaks fluent Japanese.

Took the bullet train down to Hiroshima which was a very moving experience but extremely enjoyable. I thought I would struggle with the food because I am not good with seafood but I got by with no issues.

Saw some great sites and even had a game of golf with an authentic Japanese caddy. She was terrific, she knew every inch of the course and not only looked after our clubs but had refreshments for us and everything.

The last night was the best as we had dinner at the Westin hotel in Nagoya, which was a competitor of the Hilton hotel. They knew who my mate was and gave us the five star treatment. It was the first and only time I ever had snails and it was actually really nice but being full of garlic and butter you couldn’t taste anything else.

An absolutely fantastic experience that I will never forget.

Sorry half cut - you need to be a bit organised, but honestly you get caught out lost somewhere, more than likely a local will try and help. Drop your wallet on the ground, a local will chase you down and give it back to you. I once said ‘keep the change’ and tr shopkeeper was so upset that I felt bad.
It’s that type of place. The people are amazing. Loyal, proud and honest as they come:

I just hope it hasn’t gone to crap with all the AU tourists - scenes at Nisenko of drunken tourists pretty much equals Bali these days.

Finally, watch ‘lost in translation’ - bill murray, scarjo and Tokyo. Great film

I discovered Avatar on Apple Music a couple of months ago.
Captain Goat was the first thing I listened to and it's hooked me in.
I've been going on a journey of discovery ever since and I can't stop listening to these:

A Statue of the King

A Secret Door

Going Hunting

Avatar Country

Awesome band, and they seem to have a shitload of fun making their clips.
