Parra fan here. Thought that was a gutsy effort from the Sharks. Not many teams have put themselves in a winning position in a final against the Storm, particularly at AAMI Park.

The Panthers Storm dominance will die off eventually and the Sharks definitely look next in line with a few more additions to their squad. All the best for 2026!

So now what. We have the same players next year. The same players that have proven they can't go that extra step.

I have nfi what to think for 2026
Well we have to give some opportunities to our lower grade players in Ramien’s position and Kennedy’s position (if he resigns).

You can’t keep picking certain players and expect a different result from them in the big games. You can’t judge players on how they perform against the lower teams. It has to be judged with games like this.

We need to find a real weapon at centre and a real weapon at fullback.

Can you imagine the difference to this team if we had signed Stephen Crighton?

Can you imagine the difference to this team if we had signed someone like a Kaeo Weekes?

Strength and Speed. Real game breakers in the backline.

We can’t run it back with that same backline.

We’ll get the same result as the last few seasons.

That would be good, but our game plan needs work too for mine.

We barely moved the ball around and asked questions.

Yeah but we have those players in those positions because we have exhausted our cap in other areas.

In saying that, Ramien has had a poor season. Maybe he's injured. I don't know.

It really bothers me that we just try and lock up the ball in defence whereas Melbourne drive the ball carrier back, wrestle to the ground and somehow get themselves tangled up with the ball carrier.

The post contact metres they made tonight were concerning, it’s like their strength pound for pound is much greater than our team.

The honest truth for me is we could have taken all of those chances but Melbourne would have still conjured up the win - we were chasing all night.

Too many unforced errors and ill discipline at critical times.

It has been an enjoyable final series except for tonight. I’m in the Panthers and hope they demolish Brisbane and Melbourne.

It feels really empty this year. Knowing we could of won it. Once again we fail

Same team next year. We don't have what it takes to win a comp now. Pretty gutted tbh

Look we had a shit season. The only reason we stayed in touch with the elite was because most of the other sides were shittier then us.

Thankfully we did turn it around towards the end of the comp and made a good run home.

Munster toyed with us tonight and we had now answer to it.

I did enjoy a couple of the shots put on Hughes but he is class and his game showed that.

We have a good solid squad and if they stick together we will probably come 4th to 6th again nek year.

Yes we do urgently need some X Factor players. Just don't get one that has plucked eyebrows and wears nail polish.

Arhhh the off season has begun and for moi it is anyone but the Far Can Donkeys.

Yeh, the highlight was the shot on Hughes.

Mouth bloodied and grimacing.

At least that was mission accomplished.

Something you can take into the pre season.

In the fair dinkum department, I’d buy him all the nail polish, and pluck as many eyebrows as he wanted, to have someone that can influence a game like he can, at the Sharks.

I will also say it’s a shame that Adam Reynolds chose the Broncos and not the Sharks.

His kicking game and game management shytes on Nico’s.

Reynold’s is pretty much done going forward now but he would’ve been a much better player to have had at half the past few years for sure.

Renno has probably been an induced coma all week to prepare him physically for this game.

Help keep him off the one armed bandits too.

Nicos dropped ball was sensational for the wrong reasons alas.

No marker try..ouch.

You beat yourselves at times. I don’t know why.

The stefano bad call. He even looked guilty.

Anyway disappointing but not the worst season known to mankind.
