Yeah they were dead on their feet. Im just pissed and going off. Hate losing. Can't do what everyone else is being happy.
I think we are probably all annoyed we didn't close that game out. Really should have and so frustrated we didn't but the joy the team has given us over the past four years certainly makes it easier.

I cant cheer for the Storm. I just cant. I want to, because the idea of Ezra Maam getting a premiership after nearly killing a woman and child in the off-season just past makes me vomit in my mouth a little. But its just not possible. Im not a big enough man for it.

That said, I think that Storm spine will tear the Broncos a new one.

Exactly. He shouldn't be in the game.

Enjoying a bloody shiraz gin. A brave effort to come from where we were after round 12. I am not putting the knife into any of our team. Proud of the effort Brisbane having the home final and week off and Sorro lasting 2 minutes didnt help BUT we will be back bigger and better than ever next year. Proud of our team.

Nice to see most of us not sooking. 2026 will be the first season we go into without losing 2 or 3 rep quality players.
We'll be paying about $3 to win the comp

Like I said I just want them to have a good off season. Do that and we'll be sweet. So many guys looked tired all year Dyl, Yeo and To'o being the worst for it. Talagi and Mclean will be stars with some time and Alamoti is so f**king hot.

I am new to this forum this year.

Sad that the run has ended, but what a ride it's been. Can't complain after 5 straight grand finals and 4 premierships.

We won't see this feat matched.

Proud of the team and the club - especially given where we came from. The younger players in it will be better for this year next season - we will be a force next year. And we will be hungrier.

Just sitting here having a Moon Dust Stout and thinking how blessed I have been over the last 5 years after following the Panthers since my Dad took me to watch them at Penrith Park in 1967. I was 8 that day and have been following them since that day, some 59 years.
The desolation and despair shown after today's loss shows just how far things have changed. Winning 2 straight games was special, winning the premierships in 1991 and 2003 were special and we all thought that the giant had awoken.
Now losing a prelim final by 2 points is the end of the world for some.
Let's not play the blame game and just rejoice in what we have achieved.
As we used to say 'There is always next year!' I just have to survive another off season.

Yep, just watched the press conference and Ivan and Nathan certainly weren't sitting there going basking in the glory of the past four years.
They were clearly gutted by the loss today and I got the feeling it will put fire in the belly come next season.

No doubt we should’ve put it to bed, thought we were comfortably the better team for the majority - similar to the Melbourne GP loss - but Brisbane hung tough when other teams would’ve rolled over so full credit to them. Madge certainly a big factor.

This is why it frustrated me so much. You could just see the fatigue hit then the slow decline. I'm gonna go smash some cocktail franks and be happy again.

Ah well ladies and gentlemen unfortunately that concludes what was the best years of being a Panthers supporter. Sad to see the run come to an end but it took an almighty effort to bring this great team to it's knees. If you just stop and think about what it actually took to stop this incredible run, no other team could of handled so much pressure. No other team would have come as close to making another grand final with what this great Panthers side had to injure. Think about it, disrupted preseason and underdone players, Round 1 trip to Vegas, no home games all season. Every team trying to knock off the premiers every week, Bottom of the table half way through the season. Having to win all our games during origin. No rep players and going down to New Zealand having to win. Needing to win nine in a row to make it back into the top eight. Playing 2 heart breaking loses in Golden point thrillers that could have gone either way but ultimately cost us the top 4. Ivan having the biggest balls in NRL history and resting the entire team to give these champions a break to rejuvenate them. Going down to Auckland with no hooker then smashing the dogs into oblivion. Then finally playing a rested Broncos team with a three man bench for the entire game and coming with in a bees dick of making another Grand Final. Just let that all sink in for a moment. I'm disappointed that we didn't make another Grand Final but this team never gave up all season and had everything stacked against them and almost found a way. No other team could do what this Panthers team has done over the last half decade and for that I am truly grateful that I got to witness and support one of the greatest teams this game has ever seen.
