Cleary NSW’d when he should have Penrith’d.

Sadly, as a Panthers fan, I'd have to agree. He played nervous in the 2nd half. Failed to pull the trigger a bunch of times, let his emotions get the better of him and gave away a stupid penalty. Shit that he normally doesn't do as a Panther.

After the start to the year with Vegas and playing at commbank and running last they did credit to come back like that

They can enjoy their footy now without the burden of having to defend their title

Should win a couple more in the next few years especially when they get their ground back

Unlucky they lost those two close games to storm and Canberra that was the difference

Should’ve closed out today with the lead they had they just switched off but still unlucky nonetheless

Congrats on a great run, Penrith. 2022 team was the best I've ever seen.
The fact they lost 3-4 marquee players every year since and still finished with 2 premierships and a prelim loss shows just how good that team is.

That said, the players leaving the club should be held as an example to counter the “players will take a pay cut to go to a top team” bs

Is the smug officially over or just on hold for 12 months?
They looked basically the best team this year. Leaving their run too late and missing the top 4 is really the only thing that stopped them. Their juniors are on fire and their team doesn’t look to be changing much. They’ll be a threat for years to come.

The good thing is a few other teams are coming up to hopefully challenge the stranglehold of the usual suspects.

Pretty funny reading people bagging Penrith now because they didn’t win the Comp. I will gladly take the last 4 years compared to any other team, 5 if you count the first loss.

Penrith won’t be fading anytime soon.

Said from Day 1, they should have kept Jarome and let Dyl walk

TBF Talagi was pretty good this year and will only get better.

If they have a good injury run they'll be Premiership favs next year imo

Luai was pretty gash this year too.

Dyl does look cooked though.

With any luck he doesn't go on the Kangaroo tour and gets a full off season to see where he is at.

He couldn't break tackles this year and I'm hoping it's a undisclosed injury rather than an accelerated decline.

He was the best player in the comp going into 2024 Origin, injured himself and hasn't looked the same since.

Penrith won 5 less games then last year

Tigers won 3 more games then last year

Luai is worth 8 games alone to his side

I wouldn't write off Edwards just yet. Teddy was pretty dire last year and bounced back with a very good year. There should be a bit of life left in old baldy. Hopefully he gets a nice break and comes back better for it next year.
