Is it any wonder this club is in absolute shambles? The coach it irrelevant with this sort of mentally we are in for a long world of hurt.

the 2
010 side was a great team, but without several major plays by Jamie Soward in prelim and grandfinal we would not have won.
It is in the interest of a commercial entity to promote their heroes like Soward. But he was treated without respect due, by a coach whose name is disappearing into obscurity. Aside from Widdop, we have not a half of Jamie's quality since. Hunt also kicked afield goal in a prelim final, but for the Broncos, not us.
I thought there might be some reconciliation when Soward coached dragons NRLW side. Then dumped again despite doing well.

It makes supporting the club less appealing

Isn’t this an old story?
He comes across as a very prickly character who doesn’t take criticism well.
A player getting a better/longer contract from another club is nothing new.

He certainly can’t complain about being sacked from the wnrl coaching gig as his record was very ordinary without mentioning the amount of players who left under his tenure.
I am not sure what Jamie's complaint is with the club...
If he is dirty about being moved on in '13 (l think that's the year he said)... why return to another paid position?
If he is dirty about not being re-signed as a coach in NRLW.... you already hit the nail on the head there... my suggestion is if you want another coaching role sometime don't highlight your poor performance previously.
I watched his body language - very much "I have an axe to grind and I am gonna give it with both barrels"...
I used to like Jaimie... but watched him closer when he moved to Penrith... he just moved from play the ball to play the ball... never presenting more that just a kick option. Still l guess it allowed him more time to milk the game before it spat him out. If you don't respect the game how can you expect it to respect you.
Talk is that he rubbed a lot of players the wrong way... and l never heard one of them say that he deserved better... even the ones who walked !!!

Not feeling great about season 2026 at the moment. But hoping this changes over the off season. I am believing that “No noise is good noise” after the fiascos we went through with talk of having signed AF-B only for him to rub our faces in it by signing with the sharks. It is reported we have plenty of money, but I have heard that before and money in the bank has not been turned into a competitive team. Early November doesn’t usually have much interest for me, but it does this year. And as a typical Dragons supporter, I ignore the past and hope that things will be better.

Sowards last season at the NRLW he was not doing well. His sacking was on the cards just like any coach who performs as poorly as he did that year.

The current team has a 2010 feel about it in terms of how many good local juniors they will have on the field. Soward and Hornby were not flash but Soward had a killer boot on him. The best in the game of any half. Kyle's kicking game is no way near Soward and without Soward's kicking they don't make the GF. Let's hope Atko brings a great kicking game but I have not seen too much of that lately.

Yes, all we need is:
Fullback - Ramsey
Halfack - DCE
Prop - Tino

Soward also had insane acceleration over 20 metres.

Club ruled out of race for Storm duo

Despite the Dragons' lack of halfback depth, the prospect of bringing Pezet in is reportedly not on the cards.
While it is unknown why Pezet isn't a target for the Dragons, it can be assumed that his manager, Braith Anasta, is uninterested in negotiating with the Red V after their poor treatment of his other client, Lachlan Ilias.
Pezet looks likely bound for the Parramatta Eels, with the Canberra Raiders also keen on the young halfback's services.

They should have given Ilias more of a run. It might cost them later on ie this miss.
