Even with his loss of speed Paps was still dangerous. Munster is the most overrated "big game player" in the sport.

Stats are only part of the story, but....

Papz 41 touches, 19 carries for 230m, a try assist, a line break, 3 line break assists

Munster 61 touches, 8 carries, 80m, no try assists, no line breaks, no line break assists, only 7 kicks, 6 missed tackles.

Papz still tries, he's just a bit broken. I kept forgetting Munster was playing.

I’m absolutely shattered. We butchered it, choked once again in the big one. This one will sting more than most, we had no right to lose that game after our first half.

Can’t take anything away from Brisbane…they must have the best half time talk in the world.

Really is upsetting to come across a decent Storm supporter. Condolences mate.

What a f**king ride this year has been, absolutely crazy. There's no other player in this team that I'm happier for than Ben Hunt, deadset. He's copped, unfairly IMO, that much shit for 2015. Reynolds is a close second though...he only wanted 2 f**king years Souths, but you only wanted to give him 1. Here we are, 4yrs(?) later and he has another premiership to his name. All I can say is thank you.

Reynolds, Madge, Karapani

Then there's Shibisaki, Arthars, Gosiewski

Plus Ben Te'o running your defence, Troy Thompson and Sean Edwards running your S&C... etc

f**king nightmare fuel for me

Not going to lie, I enjoyed that more than I thought I would.

Well done Broncos. Played well when it really mattered in all 3 games. A complete 180 from 2023.
2023 we had a pretty easy run in and in the GF we got out to a big lead. But the easy run prior did us a disservice because we couldn't go toe to toe in the championship minutes. This year, Melbourne had the easier run, the longer prep. We did it the hard way all three games. First two games gave us some battle hardening. Some grit. It was great to see. Weird that I'm not overwhelmed. I just feel relief. Wish my brother was still here to see this.

I think Broncos have well and truly proven that you only need to play one half to win in the finals.

Look, I'm thankful...my dad's a Souths supporter though and I'm still scratching my head on Reynolds.

If he still had his original speed, Melbourne would have scored again late in the game and retaken the lead.

The storm were honestly bog average all year, it was only the shit standard of comp that had them finishing 2nd. That first half was brilliant but they haven’t put in 80 mins all year so no real surprise what Happened. As good as their spine is they all look frantic in big, close games. I could be wrong but it feels like they are losing them more often than not.

Interesting year for them next year. The last 2 teams to lose B2B grand finals missed the finals the following year. Emotionally it must be so tough to back up from. Whilst still obviously good they’ve felt very stale the last 3 or so years. Papenhuyzen is the obvious one to move on, wouldn’t be against Munster going either.
That last team was us but we did lose Freddy that season and a host of others. I cant see any way they miss the 8 whilst Bellamy is there with that spine but yes its hard to see where they are going and why next year won't be another top 4 finish resulting in getting outplayed in the finals.

It's equally as interesting for me for Brisbane because they aren't your typical premier and the circumstances of their run is going to be almost impossible to replicate. They hardly set the world on fire during the regular season, they were just the team that were able to take advantage of the warriors capitulating to finish 4th. From there they played 3 good halves of football out of 6 whilst being double digits down in each game. They also had their FB provide an all time form run at the right time. It's very difficult to see anything like that happening again for them.

Theme of our finals series. We had some pretty crazy comebacks in the regular season too.

Was weirdly confident all week. Felt like fate/destiny.
Definitely, the bombed try let you guys get the foot in the door and the Storm couldn’t Stop the momentum. I think Madge’s fitness focus was a big part of that. Gave the side the edge it needed to go with the mercurial talent.
