Best Clive Churchill Performances

both pretty even imo

Brisbane win 23 and storm last night both win easy without Cleary or Walsh playing

feel like Nathan shifted the momentum back to Penrith whilst Walsh played off the back of Brisbane swinging it. Walsh did have the match winning defensive play though.

Both 10/10 and the best individual GF performances since Priddis in 03. Thinks that’s still the best 80 min performance I’ve seen. Game was a lot tighter and he set up all 3 of Penrith’s tries. Absolutely brilliant.

It was a very good performance no doubt about it.

Its forgotten that Cleary was poor in defence at times as well. Mam shredded that edge. It was far from a perfect 80 minutes.

But comebacks for me are the toughest test. I can't look past 23. For that same reason I even rate Walsh's Raiders performance a few weeks back even higher than last night. Not a grand final however.

It's not up for debate IMO. Cleary's 20 mins in 2023 he was 11/10. Walsh was that for 80 minutes last night. Blaming fullbacks for not coming up with a miraculous last line of defence as some sort of negative is a weak argument against him.

Poor because Haas blew out Nathan's knee with a hip drop early on. They shouldn't be penalised but it was one.

Walsh last night is the best GF performance of all time. It’s not even close.

the only flogs who think Cleary’s 20 mins in 2023 (after stinking it up for the first 50 mins, mind you) are the same idiots who would probably try to argue that Dylan Edwards should still be Australian fullback

Walsh was out of position for the kick try, missed a tackle for another try, didn’t even try to tackle Hughes when he scored and was late to get there for the last try.
Still the best performance ever? I don’t think so!
these are things that would matter in the slide rule strangler's structure. Walsh's position is "the heads up" (great name for a position). Not only was it the best performance I've seen in a GF but also the most entertaining. I think he made the NRL some money last night.

There are still two sides to the game - attack and defence and he was missing in defence in the first half.

You'd think he pushed his teammates over to leave gaps reading stuff like this.

Stopping any of those Melbourne trys as a fullback would have been massive plays.

From the losers end I’m not sure which of our four tries Walsh stops. We were on fire first half. We played some unstoppable footy for 40 minutes followed by Bronx doing the same second half
