🤣🤣🤣🤣 Ipswich is hardcore RL and plonking a training base there does nothing to change that. Ipswich will get an NRL team in the future and the Broncos knocking off the Panthers has completely overshadowed a Lions back-to-back Premiership.

"AFL has sewn up the Western Corridor" in the same way that GWS has taken over Western Sydney, it's complete dreamland delusion.

Lions fan day had like a few thousand on tv whilst broncos prelim the whole city was going off

Afl must burn seeing a city which loved rugby league so much despite them spending billions on their crap sport

I dont think people realise how popular the Broncos are in this area, I'd go so far as to say this is Broncos heartland.

What chance is there of Easts Tigers becoming the 3rd team in Brisbane? Obviously a new nickname would be required but I do remember the Firehawks bid that ended up losing out to Redcliffe.

Only with partnership with jets and focusing on south and west

This ☝️

Tigers will provide the cash and asset muscle.

Jets will provide the moniker that resonates with the locals, the huge player nursery and the stadium that Ipswich City Council and presumably State Government are keen to build if the team gets in. Ipswich is growing fast and the Govt is keen to invest in the area

The $40m spend on North Ipswich Reserve upgrades are due to commence soon. Jets will be displaced for a season while construction is under way. This is part of stage 1 & stage 2 upgrades.

This will put Jets home ground towards the same trajectory that Kayo (Dolphins) & Total Workwear (Tigers) are at.

Stage 3 & stage 4 upgrades are in concept proposal phase only. They will be forwarded through in a few years. It comes down to budgetary restrictions really.

Why is this important? Because it’ll be a big part of the eventual Jets re-bid, in whatever shape that looks like. Having a ready made state of the art home with accompanying facilities makes Jets a far more attractive proposition.

Kayo and Workwear are a fair way apart, aren't they? Kayo holds 10k, WW 2-3K?

You don't think the Jets can go it alone?
