What I will say is that Israel has been the aggressor in the region for the past two years, and once hostages are released it has no excuse but to stop incursions outside of its borders.

Can Bibi do it, or will Israel need a regime change to a less warmongering head of state?

True. It's a path that doesn't really are of the state of things left behind for the next term/president, after Trump's moment in the sun is over.

Very interested in how the mid-term elections shape up next year... if Trump is having this much trouble wrangling his own party to his will now.

His trick is to constantly redefine what success looks look and avoid being pinned down. It has worked for a long time but it is starting to wear thin for even his most fervent of supporters.

Good to see Albo and Wong praising the release of hostages, and confirming there were more people/countries involved in this result than Trump.

All without pretending at all that this conflict has been one sided. Pressure now on the current Israeli government.

Bulldogs fans will be disappointed that the hostages are being released and that Qatar, Egypt and Turkey have now cut Hamas loose.

Congratulations to Israel on achieving total victory in this war. Frankly it is a generous outcome given that Israel had the full right to turn Gaza into Carthage and salt the earth so nothing would ever be built in that cesspit of terrorism and anti-Semitic Neo-Nazism ever again. There will need to be a mass re-education campaign to force the inhabitants to live there peacefully and stop salivating over the prospect of a 2nd Holocaust to inflict genocide on the Jews.
