I really believe he gives it 100% every week for us and I think some of the commentary from our fans can be a bit mean-spirited. Often the same people who’ll turn around and preachily say that no matter how bad things got, we never turned on the 2016 team because we knew they were doing their best unlike the current lot blah blah blah. Spare me. Okay so why is Cogger the hate lightning rod now then?
He is what he is, a capable back up halfback who can execute on the basics well but doesn’t have the ability to do a lot to turn things around in a side which is getting beaten up in the arm wrestle. Wish him all the best back at Penrith. I’m sure he’ll be a valuable part of the squad there again.
The dude wanted to come back to his boyhood club and have another crack at it (he had other offers) and I can’t ever hate him for that. Players who leave rarely seem to want to for some reason. Couldn’t get a Jonah Pezet back even with a risky overpay.
