Some big figures and former heavy weight Kumuls at tonight's Jersey presentation.
Hope they improve on last week's performance.

Not only good for the hunters players moving up to the next level but also good for RL in PNG as the hunters will have to promote some more younger and raw talent from the digicel cup to replace the departing players.

Did you just say that Championship RL is a step up from the QLD Cup? Lol
Overall probably not but I’d say that the new setup at the London Broncos most definitely is and the opportunity to put themselves in the shop window earning a move up to super league with either the broncos or being snapped up by another super league team makes it so as well.

Interesting take.

Judah Rimbu and Solo Wane both departing the Hunters to Join the Brisbane Tigers.
So exciting to see the opportunities for PNG talent to step into the shoes of these blokes and the ones that have left for London Broncos. Very exciting times to be a Rugby League player in PNG, the world must be starting to feel like their oyster.

Will be very interesting to see who they bring in. I think the 2026 squad will be announced this week.
They will need to replace Finley Glare, Robert Mathias, Judah Rimbu, Solo Wane plus Brendon Nima who has also left the Hunters. And there is still a good chance that Alex Max may be signed elsewhere too.

Any names from the digicel cup we should look out for?

Jade puk? felix beki? Chris benjiman?

I think Felix Beki is a certainty to come in. Him at 7 and Gairo Voro at 6 will probably be the youngest half's combo the Hunters have ever had.

Solo Wane and Brendon Nima's departure is going to opens up two wing spots. Douglas David covered for Nima this year for a few games so he may be back. Other wingers that may get a look in are Chris Benjamin (Gurias) , Carlos Lung (Tigers), Manase Watt (Vipers).
Hooker will be the other hotly contested role now that both Judah Rimbu and Finley Glare have moved on.
