For a club that was short of backs and needed to recruit, the chase for a forward leader in KK was understandable , but wtf was the back up plan. Seriously, the roster has improved with coaching, certainly not with recruitment.

On TCT the GM said the list manager was doing a wonderful job, how in heck was that , the list is completely unbalanced, talk about boys club.

Getting Lomax showed what a difference maker an elite type player makes, then he ended up being a rental. As the roster seems weaker in personnel annually, rescued by coaching and upgrading average players, how on earth do they justify their employment. no job I ever had would have seen continued job safety with what has been the norm at the Eels.

I actually thought Ryles pushed him into the forwards because he was absolutely atrocious in the backs and his only other option was to try him at second row.

We can only hope that Richi or Nanva have an outstanding off season and somehow turn into first grade quality players during the season.

Because you are making your judgements on flawed assumptions. The salary cap exists to spread the talent, and that is what it is doing. It shouldn't be possible to buy every player you need to keep improving your squad. The salary cap means it should reach a level and then hover around that level. In times of zero competition growth, the quality of recruits should match the quality of players leaving. But in times of growth, the increased number of teams means the quality of recruits should be lower than the quality of departures from the average roster. This is what we are seeing, at our club at least...

As I said the suggestion came directly from someone who knows more about footy, specifically juniors, than anyone I know and he said it was worth a shot.

We are f**ked regardless as it stands so I’d be willing to give anything a crack.

There's plenty of merkins we could upgrade. Lomax's coin could disappear in a few extensions. Iongi's upgrade could've taken half of it. f**k you too.

That’s not what happened and you’re just doing your usual make shit up to contradict every post.

Extensions haven’t happened apart from Iongi and that’s from 2027. Just argue to annoy the crap out of people, the junior contracts are not part of the NRL cap, stuff you probably know but ignore to make sense of the nonsense you post.

You can front load extensions. It’s one of the advantages teams have over their rivals when it comes to retaining players. Maybe the only advantage in many cases.
