Just from the media and fan hype I'm getting some Preston Riki vibes from Cosby...........and that's not a good thing. That bloke was endlessly talked up because he looked the part.
I'm sure the club sought Andrew Websters opinion before signing him.

I’ll look forward to watching his progress in 2026.

All of his appearances in 2025 were off the bench.

It’s a huge leap interchange in NSW Cup to NRL. Anyway must be doing some good work in pre season to get upgraded already.

As what? Nathan’s back up? I just can’t see it working
Jett to 6., Blaize to fullback could be an option for a few years. Then when Nathan calls time Jett to 7.

Pure speculation of course, haven't seen enough of Jett to see if he would even be a decent 6. Would be a nice story all the same.

Jet has another former Panther in Luke Hanson as competition for a spot in the Warriors halves.

Hanson is a specialist 5/8 and is highly regarded.

That’s not my recollection. He was never hyped up to any great degree. He was a prospect, who sadly always seemed to sustain unfortunate injuries which hampered his progress. At the end of the day just not NRL quality.

He was also coming off hip surgeries when we bought him. Don't see any relevance to Crosby at all.
There is no comparison.

Aside from the new recruits from the Warriors we do have some really talented forwards from our juniors coming thru. I look forward to seeing how they progress this season.

I agree that’s an option, but, I’d be quite surprised if that’s our best option in 2 or 3 years time.

We have a lot of talent at the club

Blaize will need to fix defense to stay at 5/8 but I think that will come when he fills out. He can be quite physical.
I still think it is his best position. He was very poor under high ball and his speed isnt great for fullback. Id like to see him kick more also. He has a big boot

His defence is fine.

He came here with all this negative talk from Parra fans, he defended like you expect a kid his age to defend.

He’ll continue to improve, it’s really not an issue at all.

its improving - but i cant see him being a long term FB for us - Dyl organises our defence so well - i just hope our batch of upcoming FBs have that in them as well

I think Dyl will have a good 2026 but once age catches up with him it's pretty much over for him. He'll still be able to set the defence but everything he does with the ball is based on being the fittest player in the sport, he doesn't have much more to his attacking game than that.
