Thank god, seems like they're keeping the options open to keep him in the org, which is fine... he's Sirianni's boy and from all reports he does do good stuff. Apparently he was heavily involved in the red zone design which was some of the best stuff we saw all year... So that's all good, happy to get him the f**k out of the headset and back doing shit he's actually good at.

But we need a real play caller and offensive designer at the helm.
I dont think McDaniel will be an option, i think he'll get a HC job and if not, seems like a lock for the DET OC job.
Todd Monken would be good but i think he probably goes where ever Harbaugh goes

The other name that i want to throw out and i cant remember if i mentioned it before - Brian Daboll
I think his history with mobile QBs is good, he's an older guy that has already flamed out as OC so wont necessarily be immediately hired in a HC cycle next year if he fixes it. So we might be able to get 2-3 years with him

If they go young and unproven, Nate Scheelhaase who is the Rams Passing Game coordinator or even a Zac Robinson, former Falcons OC
Kingsberry also interests me on some level but also worries me as a hire.

If we get one of the names listed here, ill be able to talk myself into it quickly

Daboll has to get an interview IMO

2022 showed he could coach, he just had a shit roster. They went to him for advice this season and he would have a chip on his shoulder as well.

If McDaniel doesn't get the Baltimore job he should go OC with the Lions or Eagles.

Both teams would light it up with his play design and calling.

If it goes well in 2026 let the league know that he will only take another HC job with either a good established QB or high draft pick going into the 2027 season.

Well as you admitted, you will be watching it for 8 months so im sure you'll figure it out

One of the great victories for the 49ers franchise, being depleted going to Philly as 7.5 points underdogs and winning with 4th quarter rally. Conversely, tragic loss for eagles.

Probably their best win since the mid 90s which is somewhat sad.

Yep. Exposing Jalen and breaking toxic eagles fanbase is great result.
Well winning a SB would be a better result*? I would think your multiple NFC title games wins the last 2 decades would rate up there for you.

But sure, beating the Eagles in a WC is the best one lol

* That's what the Eagles led by MVP Jalen Hurst did last season

If he could throw in the pocket would've connected those final two plays. Maybe less discerning fans will finally realise distinction between game mangers, read option and truly elite qbs?!

You can say and have whatever opinion you want on Jalen but the simple fact is this..

He has never missed the play-offs as a starter, he has a 6-4 record in the play-offs and has a SB win and MVP.

Those are irrefutable facts.

Therefore, if everything you say is true the ROI on him has been immense and he has been a home run for the organisation.

We appreciate your continued support.

Tight window final play but nowhere near the target. Good play call just before but bad throw high. I said all along inferior QB would be downfall. Genuine posters would be giving credit.

Just mention that Latrell is too fat and lazy to play fullback and watch him cry.

Jesus. :D
Dudes a total weirdo

His Shanahan carried bum of a QB is gonna be throwing picks straight to defenders (again) during a play off game and this freak is gonna be here dick riding Jalen Hurts
MF actually thinks Lamar Jackson isnt a good QB.
He didnt show up for months after Hurts won the SB and MVP. He's a coward and im not longer going to bother engaging.

Some reports on twitter already speculating that Brian Daboll might make a lot of sense
He coached Hurts at Alabama and also with Nick Sirianni on a KC staff many moons back, so if those two relationships are already established and in good order, that will be a big leg up for Daboll

Lol, everything I said about Jalen was correct: he's a read option QB (and not a particularly good one) with no arm or accuracy and has trouble reading defenses. He was slow as f..on that last throw. I told you what would happen when the run game and defence regressed.

I interpret silence as an admission of defeat lol!

He won a SB and you went in to hiding for nearly a year, nothing will ever change that fact.

I interpret any response to this or any other post by you in this thread as an admission of defeat.

Some interesting stuff coming out of the presser today

Sounds like the eagles are telling potential OCs that they'll have full autonomy, that should help bring in a high quality candidate. Howie says they dont mind if they bring a guy in and he gets hired a year later as HC, says they're comfortable paying the price of being successful.

Also Howie made a point to say at the end there can be paths to long term success and still a focus on short term and having urgnecy to win now. Not sure how to read that other than i think he is setting the fans expectations to not over-react to one move and they have eyes on both paths.

Howie was pretty up front about AJ Brown, talking about how he's the type of player they're going out and trying to find in FA/Draft. And given the financial situation of that deal AND the new OC. Id be surprised if he's traded, this strikes me very much as a situation where you at least bring him back next year and if its still a problem, a mid season trade might be on the cards but the hope is a new offence solves the frustration.
