Iunno i remember reading dargs chat he only wanted 300-400k to finish up his career there. Seems unlikely we wouldve needed to fork out double for someone who wasnt wanted by his original club and taking into account his age despite form.
Remember he loses half of it to tax. How much extra would he need to move to expensive Sydney for a year, or even worse, commute every day?

This guy is a cancer on the club, currently.

To be remembered as a self obsessed player with a pea heart.

But. He has a choice this year.

Continue with his attitude and behaviour and always be remembered as a disappointing, and worse still, a disliked player at Parra.

Or second option (almost certainly not going to happen) is to tuck in and show the great natural talents he has and end his career on a positive note.

Ball is in your court, Matto.

Signed,
All Parra fans.

To be fair to Lomax in regards to that photo Hopgood and Lorenzo have the same sad face.

An NRL player on $400k pay approximately $140k tax including Medicare levy According to AI. They also enjoy significant tax offsets or deductions which other employers on similar money may not benefit from.

I only raise this because having had a discussion with an accountant friend (a few years ago) who has had NRL players as clients he indicated with sound management and a good accountant, investments including but not limited to property, an average earning NRL player can get away with a relatively minimal tax outcome. It would surprise many.

f**k yes. The CEO’s aren’t dumb and I absolutely love that they cried bloody murder on this should NRL not back Parra.

What’s worse is he goes to one of the best clubs in history, the rich get richer!

Dear Parra, do not give an inch.

True but him losing income to tax isnt our fault/problem. Dargs didnt want him so he didnt really have a choice but to move to sydney (or canberra) unless he retired. So i feel like we didnt necessarily need to compensate him extra for his move. I could be wrong but i feel like it still doesnt make sense wed need to pay him 600k.

J.Attard might have been bought as insurance. Turuva can play there also
100%. The Attard signing is unusual in that if the hype is real, he isnt going to want to stay in Cup. Really hope and need to keep Bula. Any other agent Id be confident.

He’s not on an amount even close to 600k

The evil one is just playing contrarian as always to needle and get under everyone’s skin.

He needs to justify his long term trolling position that there is nothing under the cap and this is how he does it - by arguing something untrue so many times that people start to accept it.

I wouldn’t believe a word he posts.

time for a few people to break out the old knee pads…
