Bears Confirmed & Rumoured Signings

If the Perth Bears can recruit a couple more English super league players, then I can see them developing a large English fan base. Similar to how the Melbourne storm is so popular in Queensland because of all the Queensland players they have had and the amount of ex Victorians living there. 8% of Perth's population are born in England, that's 170,000 people.
Another reason to avoid Perth

I don’t agree.

A business is a business and all businesses in majority of industries are governed by results.

Be it financially, performance etc.

The NRL by its very matrix is defined by the salary cap and by a structure of club competitiveness to have clubs cycle successful ladder windows in cycles. Cycles are based on where they are at within their salary cap etc. Your CEO Matt Cameron actually spoke about this so eloquently on James Graham’s podcast about 3 months ago.

Now whilst the cap can be seen as inherently flawed hence some teams can remain on top for years and others at the bottom for years - it’s true nature is to still ensure competitiveness through out the competition. Resourcing plays a crucial role in success. I can use Panthers as a prime example from being on their arse in 07-09 to the turn around in 20-25 - this is evidence. The turn around coincided with resources being put into the club and therefore attracting players (be it top grade or systematic juniors) to the club.

I can use Canberra who had traditionally struggled to recruit as another example. Once resourcing went to juniors as opposed to attempting to lure seniors (already graded) - the Raiders found some success.

Perth is no different, sure it’s geographically further but we live in 2027 not 1987. The bulk resourcing will go to pathways and development so it can stand on its own - in time. Initial recruitment will be what it will be but I have no doubts it’ll be competitive and have players who set and maintain the start up standards.

I also think you’re overthinking this. Perhaps you’re more focused on years 1, 2 and 3 and if you are, fair enough. They are important to set expectations I guess. Some fanfare will be contingent on early on field success I am sure. But overall those years will be sugar hits. It’s years 5-20 which will really define the club and in those later years of that time period start to see the green shoots.

This is a long term plan. No one is expecting finals year 1 or year 2. We just want a competitive team week to week. Players like Meaney, Wishart and Henry will provide leadership there. The systems they are coming from cannot be faulted.
There's so much nonsense in this post , it's hard to address all of it but a key feature is ..
"We just want a competitive team week to week. Players like Meaney, Wishart and Henry will provide leadership there."

The level of delusional and mental gymnastics required to believe young fringe first graders/ bench players..are leaders..

I had to read it twice.

I'm starting to be convinced this isn't a person. This is something from an early version of chat gbt

If you're not copy and pasting AI, I would be extremely surprised.
Why a human would go to such effort to write so much meaningless boring corporate waffle is beyond me.
The small pieces that appears to be the input guiding the AI when you find it are very weak and when challenged are often directed to more AI. In this case being far too obvious.. results in petty insults and... wouldn't ya know it.. articulated in a completely different style.

I won't wish you well, I'm certain you're doing extremely well as the nature of what is clearly machiavellianism at it's core.

Geez, just when people thought you couldn’t get anymore lame you drop this doozy of a post. I have always typed thought out posts (or anything else for that matter) like this - there’s posts going back to 2010 in this forum with the same structure.

Further more, your post here screams of petulance and a removal from how the real world works.

I have made no secret on this forum that I am across a multitude of things and businesses. Some so happen to include rugby league.

I choose to post here to inform forum members who are genuinely interested in the Bears, QRL, and at times stadiums in Queensland matters because I am either directly/formally or indirectly/informally involved in those areas. You keep trying to better me, or perhaps prove something which is comically failing.

You are, as I keep saying - inconsequential. You don’t matter. You aren’t providing anything substantive to topics you spend an unhealthy amount of time on. You don’t seem to understand how certain things works, and that’s ok - you clearly aren’t educated enough to be able to understand certain things. Your opinions of me means absolutely nothing, you’re a little man with some big challenges and mighty issues - good luck sorting them out.

Some people in life are kicking goals and others are kicking stones - you seem to be in the kicking stones category. Wisen up or don’t wisen up, who cares - but you’re fast becoming a waste of time to respond to.

At the end of the day one of us is well informed on the Perth Bears and hot tip - it isn’t you.

That's right. We get to hear about signings that obviously hadn't actually been secured yet.
And given Mals massive deep breath when questioned yesterday, he's feeling it.
You're just here to try a put out fires.

Nice to get the no AI version too btw

Clearly I must be a time traveller then -

Somehow:
I knew about the quantity of signings (at the time I made the statement) prior to their announcements.

I knew the exact logo over a year ago.

I knew the ownership structure months before Perth Bears were announced.

I knew the funding and investment amounts months before Perth Bears were announced.

I knew how the funding was being portioned and divided into pathways months before Perth Bears were announced.

I knew about the Queensland pathways months before they were announced.

I knew the make up of the Bears board months before they were announced.

We can keep going here..

Good on you little man, you got me.
I better hop back in my DeLorean and hit 88 miles per hour.

Perhaps time you shut shop mate, dunno how many more times I can make you look stupid.

I he's in there alright. Weezeling his way as deep as he can. A new franchise offers endless opportunity for those who are positioning as such.
He'll tell you when Mals about to go too 😉

It’s ok to have a different opinion to people it’s what makes these forums interesting

The guys like an octopus though with his tentacles in rugby league

I originally thought he was just mates with the boss of norths leagues

He makes nothing from the club and he’s put money into the central coast bears bid and was behind the bears looking at the titans

Plus he’s invested loads into Queensland rugby league

Doesn’t mean he’s right about everything either but he’s not making anything out of the club

FYI I’ve argued with him on the need for national reserve grade and how ikin was a muppet for not demanding money for Suncorp upgrades

Or that the titans ground was built in an awful spot in the middle of nowhere

Well, if he investing heavily into the game then that should be without doubt applauded.

He certainly has his testicles in Rugby league, that I'm sure of.

Acting like everything you say cannot be questioned for a point of intellectual superiority is the issue I have.
If there was a legitimate intellect giving us these long winded lectures I'd be all ears but someone who thinks Meany, Wishart and Henry will be leaders in any sense are clearly talking out of their arse and telling you it's a crispy cream.

Are you in the belief that leaders are spontaneously populated out of thin air?

Footy players who become leaders are young guys who learn within good systems, under good coaching and have great players around them - who gain experience and mature and then can then bring those taught standards across and implement then drive them.

Do you think leadership at a footy club is only for the 80mins that the game is played?

This again proves you’re removed from understanding reality. You seemingly have no idea what goes on at a club, or how standards are driven in footy. How many more times do you need to be made to look stupid mate?

For those reading.. yes, this is a long winded defense..yes! Defending the position that Meany, Wishart and Henry are leaders.

I'm not going to counter an indefensibly ridiculous position.

f**k me, Perth is in as big a trouble as Mals giant breath told me they were.

Sad, I hope things turn around and you lot come back to reality before it's too late.

This moron Gobby thinks Henry hasn’t been learning under Fish (before he left), Yeo and Leota under Ivan’s tutelage.

That Meaney and Wishart haven’t been learning under Grant, Munster and Hughes under Bellamy.

This moron Gob thinks he gets footy. Mate you can’t even tie your shoes, you are truely the dumbest merkin in this entire forum. Lol.
