Bunty making a good impression at the Tiges.

Luai mentioned the impact he was making in preseason a little while back too. Really hope he goes well. Be kinda sucky for us if he suddenly has a massive season, but cant begrudge a dude like that.
Yeah he did his time at the Wahs. Hope he has a banger of a season this year tbh.

Imagine if it was the Wahs, not the Storm. Immediate shutdown.

Now conversely, imagine if it was the Wahs, not Parra. Lomax would have been at Storm training that week.

Haha I don't live in Auckland mate, haven't for 15 years. But yeah that place has the worst stadiums in the world, including Sarajevo and the like.

Living in Melbourne for a short time...NZ is home and I'm glad to be back, but it's hard to give away the world class stadiums within 5km of our place.

The other thing that city does - and I presume the rest of Australia - way better than NZ is attend and support live events. The amount of games I missed over there on a 'I'll buy tickets closer to the time' basis because people just go. You have to be in early. They love an occasion more than us, I'd love to see us get to live sport/events more. Yes, public transport isn't what it is over there, cost of living as well but I think it's an apathy, too, in the big city about the live experience.

I've been in Melbourne for 25 years and it's definitely more a Melbourne thing than the rest of the country.
Brisbane probably the closest to an exception when their NRL/AFL teams are going well.

Apparently Parra may have proof of Lomax in discussions with both R360 and the Storm while still under contract with them
How about this guy

Reality doesn't exist in Melbourne.

The funniest part for me is the part that 'he was unreliably informed that R360 would go ahead' when even a nuff like me, who has no contacts or knowledge of the professional rugby environment at all, knew that tournament was never starting in 2026 with the lack of progress and structure it had.

Getting murkier and uglier by the day isn't it.

Whatever happens, Lomax needs to punt Schifcofske as quickly as possible. He's been about as useful as an underground airport.

Looks like the 6-man/choose-4 bench is a thing
I know Webster wasn’t a fan of this one but now that it’s locked in, I hope he’s got some ideas on how to leverage to our advantage.

Be interesting to see how everyone approaches it actually. Could be some creative bench selections and interchange decisions coming up.

Toddy under pressure at the Cows.

This bit surprised me:

WHO’S UNDER PRESSURE?

Scott Drinkwater. He might be signed until the end of the 2027 season, but there are reports Drinkwater is on the outer at the club and needs a big year to convince them not to let him go at the end of his contract or even sooner. At his best Drinkwater is one of the game’s best attacking fullbacks, but his defence too often lets him down.

Reports have Payne Haas telling his teammates this is his final season in Brisbane before moving to Souths

Broncos have since confirmed this info is correct
