Better Glover than KF

My fav thing on any project at work is “compare the pair” and define “better”

for me Glover and Ilias are back ups only not stars just like Tannah Boyd moving in and out of teams and not dominating FG NRL

I suspect Kyle is the same but playing a role until LKT and or Reed burst thru and irrefutable to start

Let alone Atko delivering almost immediately as “Anasta” has agitated already

it’s real no matter which way we slice it ie we don’t have enough data yet re our forwards dominating field position and nor do we have enough data on our best mix of halves

so many variables right now

I suspect we can all find a happy medium after 4 rounds or so of NRL 2026

until then we are all guessing don’t u think ?

I don’t think it is fair to judge O'Neil on the micro-second we watched on the weekend. Footballers can have bad games. It is what he produces as a norm. I don't think that was his norm.

Hoping Atkinson is an improvement on LKT therefore a better halves paring, I think he is but maybe not a 7.
By the sound of Flano he's wants to share the load of game management between spine players, likely to take pressure of Atkinson early on and because he's hasn't done much at 7 running a team.

If 4-8 rounds in we look as bad as Flano and Elias, will we see a repeat of 2025 and drop Atkinson and bring up LKT. Lets hope that doesn't happen.
My guess also is Flano will not play Reed at 7 and Atko at 6 and move Kyle this year. Reed looks ready but is young and small and hasn't played NSW cup.
My guess Flano's plans are this is another building year and development for Reed, 2027 Atkinson at 6 and Reed at 7 throw in a powerful KK and we look much better.

Not a fair reflection as KF did very little kicking and Val had a bad streak for a few games.

Agree most of our successful attacks were out wide so assume both kickers had harder then usual jobs. Probably why Val's stats dropped from 84% the previous year.
