I think Leniu is realistic, for the reason you gave. But Bostock would be the last merkin the Dolphins would let go. Or maybe the third last.

Would Spencer be ideal on a 6 man bench depending on the nature of each game? Would this slightly lessen his worth, given he would only play in certain defined situations? We have big Sam. Unsure how many of these big boys you can carry in your 17 as the game moves towards faster and more mobile props.
But I do like Spencer. I'm suprised Ryles wants another pig tho. I guess Jnr and De Bellin may not go around in 27. Looking at Jnrs fitness currently he may have another year in him.
This is a great point when it comes to the increased bench. It possibly creates a two tier salary especially for propsWould Spencer be ideal on a 6 man bench depending on the nature of each game? Would this slightly lessen his worth, given he would only play on certain defined situations?
Would they have to get a bonus if there was a mid-season injury to another prop and the "limited benchie" had to play more minutes? This is a great point when it comes to the increased bench. It possibly creates a two tier salary especially for props
No. I think it’s a possibility that the addition of bench spots that may only be used sparingly puts downward wage pressure on bench playersWould they have to get a bonus if there was a mid-season injury to another prop and the "limited benchie" had to play more minutes?
Not sure MON could manage that very well.
A dude who doesn’t play every week is definitely worth less than one who does, assuming equal minutes.Would Spencer be ideal on a 6 man bench depending on the nature of each game? Would this slightly lessen his worth, given he would only play in certain defined situations?
You need to separate the bench rotation (generally middle forwards) from the bench contingency players (edge defenders used in emergencies).No. I think it’s a possibility that the addition of bench spots that may only be used sparingly puts downward wage pressure on bench players
Have you been drinking today? To need to separate the bench rotation
I think you may be missing my point, which is probably my fault not yours.No. I think it’s a possibility that the addition of bench spots that may only be used sparingly puts downward wage pressure on bench players
My phone thought To was an appropriate start to that that sentence. Obviously I meant You.Have you been drinking today?
I’d say your offer is based on expected minutes (and attacking involvement per minute). So a bloke who is expected to play 30 minutes and carry the ball a dozen times will be worth more than one who will pay 40 but only carry the ball every five minutes.I think you may be missing my point, which is probably my fault not yours.
Players aren't paid for minutes per game, so when you negotiate a contract you might expect them to be a low-minute benchie and want to pay them less, but mid-seaon they become a high-minute key rotational benchie, that is now underpaid.
The player has the same information when they signed the contract and they only become a high minute key rotational because either they are playing at that standard (increasing the chances of them pushing into that tier) or because a better player is unavailable/injured (which is only for the duration of the unavailability, although maybe increases the chance of the first point).I think you may be missing my point, which is probably my fault not yours.
