Losing the first game of the season, in England, against a team who is already into their campaign?

Yeah, write him off.
Grand final winning side
Full of origin and Australia reps
Against basically a bunch of unknowns (to their credit a great win)

I’m confident you thought you’d go over and put 50 on them.

I’ve got nothing but time for Madge, but locking him into a long term contract may not be your clubs best prospect,

Penrith couldn't beat those English sides either.

What do you mean grand final winning side? It's always the grand final winning side, that's the concept. That adds nothing to your argument.

I was using it as a reference as being the best side in the NRL.

My point is that maybe a long term contract isn’t the best for the way Madge coaches.

Funny now your team loses and it’s a different tune. Everyone was bagging Penrith for losing this game, but in reality it’s no more than an exhibition match. Glorified trial against 2 teams on different sides of the globe.

Playing at the end of the season with the same teams that won the comps is better than the start of the next with different players.

They lost it at home.

My point is, the same winning team never plays the game. I for one have never really given a shit about the WCC anyway, but tell me if Penrith run out with the same team that won the Comp the previous year they don’t win it.
