but we could have used the Pezet money to strengthen other areas like a forward or outside back and played Joash at 5/8 for another year until Lorenzo was ready. That would have made us stronger

Oh agreed, given the natural advantages they have they’re massive under-achievers over the last two decades. I was just making the point that pointing to Tom Dearden as the Broncos having shit recruitment and retention isn’t a particularly strong example. But there are plenty of them - never forget Brodie Croft was their halfback saviour.

Because it was a no win situation. He develops well then the Broncos get the benefit, he goes shit then he is just filling the space Joash should be filling. Just a poor decision either way.
