Imagine accusing other posters of accepting mediocrity while tuning in every week and still giving them money. You are accepting the exact same thing you are just mad about it at the same time.

What does not accepting mediocrity look like? Crying on a forum apparently.

Shane and Kyle are both shit but attempting some form of othering and taking the high ground while literally doing the same thing as the people who you are apparently smarter than is peak stupidity.

Now apparently a high minute Aus rep prop is also shit because it's more important to win a internet battle with strangers than speak any objective fact.

For pity sake , are you an undertaker by some chance ? It is not a case of your so called participation that the Dragons were beaten on the weekend, but by a team that is a few classes above most other teams in the comp.

Nor is it a case of accepting mediocrity from the team , but one realising that the effort was indeed there ,but sadly the execution was lacking on not one but numerous occasions. Nor am I or others for that matter happy with the overall performance of the players as a team , as we are not , but whinging and whining is not going to change a damn thing .

Flanagan would not be in the least happy , but unlike many on the forum over the last 2days he would not be pulling the self - destruct grenade , but rectifying the players faults so as they play as a more cohesive unit and win their matches - doing something constructive about the problem but most certainly not being morose .
The frustrating part of this is that the execution has not been there for season after season...and nothing happens to improve that. There were crucial errors on Saturday that led directly to Storm tries soon after...you can't keep doing that game after game. The same crucial errors were made in the Vegas game but grit kept them in the contest. We still don't seem to have many "football brains" in the team

Some poor errors, kicked out on the full twice.
Playing a side like Melbourne you can't repeatedly gift them ball with field position and expect to win.
I don't think the coach is too blame for this one.

Storm spine, Sua Faalogo, Munster, Hughes and Grant ! do i even need to elaborate.

Saints will not be the only team this year to lose to the Storm but will be one of the few that put 20 on them in 60 minutes. It was a spirited effort by the Dragons and judging them on the last 20 is pretty harsh. Atko and Flanno got injured in the back end of the 1st half which did not help. That last try in the dying seconds of the half was a coach killer. IT undid the great work earlier on to come back being down 12-0 down against to storm to score 3 tries after which if not for goalkicking would have gone in half time equal on 18-18. They were on the sideline so not easy for Val.

2nd half the boys got to 20-18 and if anyone told me in the 60minute mark Saints would be 4 tries in and leading 20-18 at the beginning of the game I would have jumped at it. The boys played well but the turning point was Gutho coming off and the Storm did what they would have done to anyone when a key player is off and exploited it big time. That is their bread and butter, they punish teams when they see a weakness and losing Gutho, Saints lost their organiser. I heard a commentator say that Feagai was asking Luc what to do when he replaced Gutho at FB. If that was the case then that is pretty bad, Sloan maybe should be on the bench seeing he trains with Gutho as he is his only backup it seems. Fa'alogo is a gun player. I knew this kid would be a freak and he will do what he did to Saints to alot of of other teams don't you worry. You simply cannot coach against this, he is quick, unpredictable and his step is pretty freaky.

Atko's pass for the try was pretty special. What a pass? This alone showed how good he will be for this team. I was pleased for Suli with his 2 assists in the first half and Luciano looking like his old damaging self. Well played boys. I hope these 2 continue with this form throughout the season. Couchman's and Stewart, wow, can't wait for Halangahu and Egan to join the party. Damien Cook also had a strong game as well.

So much doom and gloom for a bad 20 minutes against a team that Saints were expected to lose to is a but harsh this early in the season. These next 4 games however they should be ones to show how much they really have improved as they are more winnable than the games against 2 top 4 teams from last year.

It seems to me that the team is poorly coached and not matcch fit. Our best halves combo is 6 Atkinson and 7 Reed. Reed can get knocked around just a much playing reserve grade.

We needed to recruit a first-grade halfback to pair with Atkinson if we wanted to bring through Reed slowly.

Yes , you are undoubtedly correct twinkletoes , in fact if one was honest not since Mr. Bennett , although Paul McGregor did also whether by chance or blind luck the man did at least get the Dragons into the 2018 semis .
But away from that I view Shane Flanagan as a far better coach than Mary , however unlike Mary he simply is not producing the required results .

So how does he turn it all around, I thought that Ennis may have some input to add , however we know him to have been more off a niggler on the field. Many have said that we simply do not possess the cattle ( McGregor did - a pack of hard nosed forwards ) necessary to to be on even terms with other teams and once again it is true , some players simply do not wish to move to the ‘Gong . So many on here since the defeat on Saturday have pointed out very valid reasons why the Dragons season will yet again will be an uphill battle, but I firmly believe that there is no point in giving the coach the death knell , at least not until a better replacement is found and at year’s end .

I'd like to see us sign Xerri and Averillo to bolster our backline. Also, would like to see Holmes swap positions with Gutherson for the remainder of this season.

Spirited but outclassed.

Selections of the coach still a head scratcher and could be better, but they’re fit and they’re playing for him.

Kyle is a handbrake. Fegai and Guler are very fortunate. Why does Flanno love these plodders so much? Is it cos he was a ploddder in his playing days and he resonates with the plod?

How can you say they're fit? They fell apart at the 60 minute mark. Cookie admitted after the game they were stuffed. Spirited maybe, but fit teams don't let in 28 points in the last 20 minutes.

Agree in some respects Slippery...but at some point you have to start winning games...

SF is to the Dragons what Peter Dutton was to the Liberal Party.

A lot of hype and expectation but absolutely clueless as to what a minimum requirement is, let alone anything remotely needed to change our fortunes.

How good. I was hoping someone would come up with a political analogy about the coach. is it possible to come up with one about Kyle as well.

I have been a supporter of SF since his appointment.
He has done some good things with rebuilding the Junior base, my patience is running thin with his ultimate lack of direction with the NRL Squad.
We continually produce the same crap most weeks, mixed with the occasional glimmer of hope only to revert to the dumb old ways time after time.
My biggest concern is that he keeps on picking the same team each week even after some very poor losses.
Talk about getting kicked in the Balls week after week!

I’m a plodder. But I wish I wasn’t a plodder. So I don’t like plodders. So I’m anti-plod.

Yeah, true. They were up to their eyeballs in that game and let it go because they were tired the last 20 minutes. It doesn’t make sense. Not a good thing for a first grade player to come out and say. When your only job is to play footy and be fit, but you lose because you’re tired. Make something up Cookie.
