Good advice admittedly, but I'm also a stubborn old bastard!! Not sure what was wrong with that other idiot. Don't think I had engaged him before. Anyway, it looks like he has run away...typical.
As I said mate keep it nice, it will probably end up a boomerang that way.
Roosters were favs to win the comp at ine stage weren't they? but were shakey at the start. 42-18 against the warriors cost me 🤣 and scraped in against Souths. Why was that?
I hope N. Whyte pulls his finger out this week, he's in my fantasy coach team and he's been ordinary. I'm keeping him because I believe he's a gun.

The Roosters are also forever beholding to the Tigers I must say. Has there ever been a better buy then Teddy?
Not clever and not what I want to wake up to. Especially from an easts supporter..You asked for it ..and leave your temper at home

While the Warriors were the better team on the day, the 18-7 penalty count in their favour, did not help the Roosters. I at least a couple of instances, we were hard done by. Walker and DCE did not perform well either. They gelled a lot better against the Rabbitohs and as a team, we played well. But so to did the Rabbitohs. I mentioned elsewhere about Latrell having a decent game and pulling his finger out. If he keeps it out and doesn't go back into his shell, the Rabbitohs will win their fair share. Finally, the way the comp stands at this time, any side playing at their best, can beat any of the top echelon sides on a given day. We have Robson back this week, and when Victor and Leniu return, we will give the premiership a run for its money. (We need to stay injury free) which prompts me to raise the Knights, and losing their two stars!! I know how they feel since we, the Roosters went through our catastrophic injury year in 2023/24. In my very humble, non medical opinion, the speed of the game today, and the fitness that demands of players, could be responsible for the number of season ending injuries. Obviously their muscles and sinews are taut and tight, and one wrong movement or twist and things start tearing/breaking etc. Have been a Rooster supporter for 62 years, lived in Paddo until I was 12, played my junior league with the now defunct Woollahra Waratahs. Played against such ESDJRL players such as Kevin Junee, Greg (hollywood) Hartley and Barry (Bunny) Reilly.

That's so damn sad. In the meantime, the Roosters are also forever beholding to the Tigers I must say. Has there ever been a better buy then Teddy? (Question for you: Do you understand what fecetious means? )

Our speed of play won our game against the cowboys.
I agree with injuries but it's the head injuries that I'm more concerned about.
How times has players been whacked into Disneyland then told to play on only to be told minutes later that the doc has told him to go off for a HIA.

It will be interesting to see how this new style headwear turns out. We certainly don't want to lose any player due to concussion. One of our all time stalwarts in Boyd Cordner retired early due to it.

When your drunk it is ..if not and your a wt supporter it’s anything but..

the Rabbitohs should have a handy win over Benji's boys. It seems that Latrell has finally pulled his finger out and starting to perform. He may be the difference.

And this .. what time do you burp and pass out

To add, definitely my pet hate is players, any players, going down after what "may" look like a head knock, (arm slipping up from shoulder height for example) and obviously faking and milking penalties.

The new GameGear headgear is a revolutionary, WA-made, bubble-like helmet designed to reduce concussion risks in the NRL by up to 90%. Utilizing a Nodal-Impact Attenuation (NIA) system of spheres, it disperses force rather than absorbing it directly. A two-year Monash University study is testing it in 2026.
ABC NewsABC News +3
Key Details of GameGear Headgear:
  • Technology: Features NIA technology—a network of rubber spheres that compress and redistribute energy upon impact.
  • Performance: Lab tests indicate a reduction in acceleration on the brain by up to 94%, far exceeding traditional padded headgear, which is generally not designed to prevent concussions.
  • Visibility: Manly Sea Eagles forward Jake Trbojevic has adopted this, giving it high visibility in the 2026 preseason.
  • Trial & Rollout: A 600-player study by Monash University is assessing its real-world performance, following significant manufacturing challenges and upcoming commercial availability.
  • Function: Unlike old-style headgear, this is engineered to manage specific concussion-related head impact forces rather than just cuts and abrasions.

If they stay down, and replay comfirms it was ok he still goes off for HIA and replaced with a player having his spell.....spell over ha ha. That might stop the fakers.

In the mean time....
(google) The Sydney Roosters hold extensive rugby league records, most notably a record 20 Minor Premierships and 15 NSWRL/NRL premiership titles (1911–2019). They are the only foundation club to compete in every season since 1908 and hold 5 World Club Challenge titles, 38 consecutive wins, the largest 1975 Grand Final margin, and 12 Club Championships.

  • Premierships: 15 (1911, 1912, 1913, 1923, 1935, 1936, 1937, 1940, 1945, 1974, 1975, 2002, 2013, 2018, 2019).
  • Minor Premierships: 20 (Record).
  • World Club Challenge Titles: 5 (Record).
  • Biggest Win: 87-7 vs Canterbury (18 May 1935).
  • Highest Score: 87 points (87-7 vs Canterbury, 1935).
  • Longest Winning Streak: 10 consecutive wins (1996). Wikipedia +3

Think Souths are the worst possible team for us to play missing our two centres. I highly doubt Skelton plays centre, he'll swap with Turuva. After seeing Souths team its not as strong as i thought. The bench is poor, if they get an injury/HIA in the forwards they'll struggle. As others said Luke was crap last week, blew two tries and had poor D for the Cows first. His hands are a massive concern.

If we're going to beat them it will be through the forwards. Our middles are strong, edges big and skillful. Then Api, Rome and AD will run strongly off the back of it.

My concern is they will just make a break everytime they swing it wide. This a big test for us, certainly different to last week. Going 2-0 would be absolutely massive.

Bat to the bunnies.

1. Jye Grey v Bula. Like a ford focus v a tricked up wrx. Jye is too small to play league. Time we “drove” the point home.
He runs around like a playful kitten most of the time. Tackles softer than Benjis motivation speeches. We need to catch him and stomp on him like a bug.

2. AJ: still hungover, his next try due in 2030. Wd Alex we all love you but it’s done mate. Mission accomplished, you’ve got nothing left. Go away.

3. Latrell : Uncontrollable idiot. Bait him and get him sent off. My car jack has more patience than this clown. Dragged the bunnies down for years. Thank goodness Lee and Pascoe blew it.

4. Jack Wighton, long overdue for one of his absolute rampages. I Love his A game, Massive threat. Will need to be injured early. Nothing too bad, just enough to wipe him out of the game.

5. Campbell Graham. Unremarkable. his career highlights reel popular with sleep therapists to cure chronic insomnia.

6. Cody Walker. Long past his best. At his best, he probably had the best hands in league history. Playing on reputation. Needs to retire and donate his wrists to medical science.

7. Humphries. Part time half with commensurate part time skills. Known as “factory Frankie” to his mates. All of the actual threat of peace and prosperity becoming important in the world.

( no offence, but it’s deeply insulting for us to have to play JL and AD against these gooey dehydrated mudskippers). We could lend them Madden, find out where Feledy got to.

Walker and Humphries? Ffs deary me.

They let Renno for a meagre couple of pennies extra and so their punishment for being disloyal to the little champ continues. The most brain dead and stupid decision in league history.

to be continued..,
