I think Paps was pretty bloody good last year. He’s a great player, always works hard and he plays really well edge and middle and score tries in either position.

He had his moments, It was probably more Ivan moving him around.

Getting him more consistent along with Blaize taking the next step up, raises our ceiling

Great win!
Very enjoyable to watch. Roosters were shit but pleasing The Great Pink Brick Wall of Defence held strong all game.

Well done Milky on 4 tries!
.I was going to walk a $50 on Je kins for too try scorer before season started. Spewing now I didnt.

My queries on Penrith was the decline of Edwards and To'o. They both looked broken last year and on the downhill slide.
That and the development of Blaize/Mclean and possible juniors.

If Edwards and To'o were fit in 2025 its another title I would say. The fact they are both back to their best says to me Panthers are going to be difficult to stop if all fit.

Blaize defense has come along really well and Ivan has stripped away his flashy plays. He is now looking calm and composed. Im sure its only a matter of time before he breaks out. So many half breaks are going to soon be line breaks. He could be an upgrade on Luai tbh.

Mclean has started ok but a few times his hands have let him down. Id have to see if it was the passes or not. Had him and Garner had better hands in 50+ yesterday.

Papali'i isnt as explosive as at Parra but he has become an elite worker. He is good for 120mtrs+ and 30+ tackles. Hisbdefense this season also has gone up a level.

Cleary is also mixing his game up a lot more and playing more attacking. I felt like in 2025 he played to safe.

The fact you have Liam Henry,Cogger and Tago to possibly inject into the side if needed shows solid depth.

Be interested to see how Patea develops. Ivan tho seems to prefer leaner and faster forwards. I think he might be out the door soon if doesnt start to make some noise in cup.

Great coaching from Ivan. Produced a game plan to expose defensive weakneses in the Roosters and the team executed with possibily our best 80 minutes in a few years.

Best part for me is defense. 10 points in 3 games against fancied opposition. i think we missed 47 tackles yesterday but only conceeded 1 try. Must be in our technique with regards to a hit and miss but slow the player down for the next man up In defence. Whatever it is it is working

Moses deserves a big wrap for Milkys long range try. How often do you see him pick up a ball on the ground and pass it to a runner or be in the right spot back up play? It seems he has great game awareness. Underrated prop in my opinion. Wouldn't swap him for any other prop.

Its in the conversation.

2022 with Api and Luai is probably the peak. Throw in Kikau too.

But we've got so many players in form at the moment. They are playing with such confidence. They might break some attacking records this season.
8 points conceded in 3 games.. in the last 5 years the NRL has added new rules to try and break us and we just work around it

I adore Moses. He's just such a whole hearted player. To hear that he wants to be a one club player makes my heart warm inside.

We all saw evidence of this when he was a Penrith. Can't stop tinkering with things aren't broke. Just creates an atmosphere of tension and worry within the organisation.
For all those that are whinging and and whining about Gould, it was him that saved this club and set us up for the great run that we have had. Yes, he tinkered and caused some tension - as did Ciraldo spying on Hook for his mate and running tales. But there is nobody on this site that ould have done better than Gould with all of his flaws. I am a firm believer in credit where credit is due. The number of know alls, whingers and whiners here is a joke. Rant over -= let's enjoy the footy!

I think everyone acknowledges what Gus did for us, without him we aren't where we are if we exist at all. But also seeing that he has flaws is just stating the obvious. If he had stayed probably aren't where we are either.

The man has ADHD, he just has to keep reinventing the wheel.

One thing I noticed last night Sam Walker's front foot was planted fully over the line BEFORE he kicked the line dropout . DCE has done this before. According to the rule book this is a PENALTY.

Gus' length here should have been the 5 year plan, Then we would all speak higher of his time here.

Everyone is on the same page since and the results speak for themselves

I'm not denying that Tom If fact if you look back over my past tweets I mention that at a regular basis. Gould did save the club, especially in the early years.

But this also happened. Both facts can be true and sit alongside each other.

The fact is in later years he created an atmosphere of tension and instability by poking his nose into things that weren't broken.

This is what everyone already thinks about Gus. Did great things is a brilliant football mind and operator but he also can go too far.

This is what he does. He wears out his welcome.
