imagine if Nick T, Reed, Webster, LPT were in our starting sides last few weeks ie super rugged teams of which two dominant teams fighting for top4

those young fellas would be cooked by end of round 3

I suspect the truth is we are promoting youth at a fast tracked level last 3 seasons already but success can’t come fast enough?

We are developing youth however we have no fullback pushing for a start.
Reed is possibly that half we need but will have to be so good to oust Kyle, Flano will find reasons to keep Kyle their.

Gutherson and Holmes really let us down against the Eels. Who do we have to replace them? Time to shell out for a fullback and outside back.

Why not Sloan at fullback and Gutho at 5/8. They could swap around in defence if Sloan is struggling.
Also can’t work out why Holmes and Suli swapped sides. Put Holmes back on the left, he played some decent footy on the left side last year. Suli can still play his bash barge style on the right.

I think the best option from here is Gutho as a running 6, Holmes at fullback and Fale into the centres. Kyle needs to find a running game in NSW cup.

This won't happen but I actually think that is a backline with more creative potential than the one we currently are trotting out. I've never been a fan of the out of proportion Kyle bashing but he had a shocker against Parra - both attack and defence. I can forgive Atkinson's errors because he's trying something and think he'll come good with a reliable 5/8 next to him, but Kyle is providing nothing in attack. I'd even prefer Lykan at this stage - at least he offers some creativity.

Gutho is a better defender and can help organise the line and lead from the front was my thinking.
Lykhan has shown poor defense.. but does have some creativity.
Reed just looks too slight to survive NRL yet, needs 5 kgs or runs the risk of ongoing concussions
Atko at least has a good passing and kicking game..
Kyle is going backwards and Shane needs to act on it as it’s his main blind spot…we are just way too predictable in attack and easily managed.

Yes they had bad games but Holmes is still elite and our main strike and ran two beautiful lines to score against the Storm. Gutho is our leader and you saw what happened when he was HIAd against the Storm. We replace Tupuloto, Tu, KFlann, Cake, etc, before Gutho and Holmes.
