I thought that Jett Liu was a lot better than Webster as a prospect in recent years, but Webster has started this season really firing.. he is more of your Mick Weyman mould perhaps.. nothing fancy just runs hard all day.

Hutchinson is named on the extended NRL bench which is an indication of how his stocks have risen, especially with the prop void left after Latu and Liu departed.. and CST falling behind a bit too (was meant to be next).. I'm not sure what Hutcho's contract actually is though.. it must have been upgraded. Hutchinson though is a very different cat.. hes um like a 2nd rower playing in the middle or something? Like he has a curved run, he doesnt try to run it into the teeth like Webster would.. he looks for better targets to hit and is like an attacking prop if u will.. but he is sort of built like the couchmen were at his age.. hes slim and above average height..
Hutch has to be a development player or in the top30?

Otherwise doesn’t qualify to play as yet

But there is a photo of him on the KOE Cup profiles.
How hard would it be to transfer said photo to his profile for the first grade squad???
That’s standard that top30 players when they play NSW cup end up on the NSW cup team profiles on our website

what I have t noticed before is a NSW cup player being on the top30 NRL page

Don't think hutcho will be in the 30..he may have moved into a dev. Spot that was freed up.. Tbh I wouldn't mind if they were a bit clearer on what they did to get us to 28 players by round 1.. Buchanan was 1 but they didn't rly celebrate the other upgrade.

Agree Rev
But have u ever seen a NSW cup player being listed on our NRL top30 on our Dragons website
I haven’t

nor have I seen a Development Player listed on our NRL top30 team site on the dragons website (actually the new rules do allow from rd1 development players from rd1)

it’s curios hey

for me middles fast tracked make sense

we have so many backrowers so why promote Nick T who let’s be honest has been hit and miss with his errors so far

We are the Guinea Pigs for the NRL.

It's been that way since I can remember, either we are the first to be penalises for a new rule or last game before it gets banned.

Sloane cops a penalty try for a tackle, so a try isn't scored, Kyle gets suspended because a nose was shoved in his mouth, R Couchman gets suspended and two tackles last week gets nothing.

Rav4 gets rubbed out of the game, similar tackles are called great hits. I remember years ago a penalty was given for a trip on thin air.

We raise the grift and get told to back in your box. It never ends.

When Suli made that break knocked over Moses and then was tackled from behind, that was a classic hip drop.
Suli luckily didn't get his leg caught under, because he gets up and plays on nothing is said.
When someone stays down or gets injured, your going to be punished. unless your a Chrighton or a Cleary.

It is time the CEO and football staff stood up and gave a fair go. Not to fall in a heap in agreement with the NRL, but to strongly indicate their anger. Make a fuss and stand by your word/complaint.

Don’t forget Craig Smith being chased out of the game for lifting knees. Barrett being charged after 9 ran footage of a high hit 3 days after the game etc

you’re right, and even though he got up , he wasn’t the same after. How many more big runs did he have that game? he was in pain.

Sounds like he didn't want to leave QLD to me, that's where he's played his best footy and if Dolphins were able to offer good money that would always be his choice. All this crap about centre vs full back vs wing is smokescreen bullshit, not one ounce of evidence just another idiot reporter stirring shit for click bait. The real story is why he didn't want to stay at the Broncos and why they weren't fussed about keeping him. And as for proof of how much he loves it at the Dolphins because he lost 10kg in pre-season training, what the hell was he doing rocking up to pre-season training 10kg too heavy. Good player but come on. Another example of players only getting serious when it's contract time.

Agree 💯
He wasn’t sure about playing wing with us but then goes to play wing at the dolphins.
Good luck to him but imo leaving Queensland was always the nagging issue in his mind.

And the fact is it's another example of the club trying to attract top talent and being willing to pay the big bucks, but being unable to do so. The number of players we've tried to get who could've made a difference this year.
