F**k, I'd forgotten about that. Hardly Tina Turner-like in it's impact or longevity, is it?!

He wrote it for a NFL team. So not suprising it's not remembered. It wasn't for our game anyway. Just somethign easy to steal and totally forgetable as a song.

I'm sorry ... Who?

I know a I'm a middle aged man, and therefore not the demographic they're hoping to entertain with this kind of thing, but I don't believe I've ever heard of her.

British soul/R&B singer. Think a more upbeat Norah Jones. I don’t like pop music but she is actually not too bad. Don’t think it really suits the NRL though.

I asked my daughters (mid 20s) if they knew her.
Know of her, impression that she is pretty good but not something they would listen to.

I think the biggest thing is I don’t think her music kind of correlates with grand final entertainment. You’d listen to it if you want to relax. It’s not going to pump you up if you will.

The grand final entertainment has shifted from being there as a pump up for the fans at the game to being about driving viewers who wouldn’t normally watch the grand final.

In that respect, Olivia dean would be the perfect fit for the nrl grand final.

Maybe if you follow the dictum of the Super Bowl. The question is would they watch the game or just simply switch off after she finishes.

I have no problem with acts for younger viewers but get someone with upbeat songs, She will put everyone who isn't a fan to sleep
