What do we think about Dylan Edwards?

Bit of talk that maybe father time had caught up to him and he was done after 2025. I think he is proving with a full off-season and a fit team around him that he is still the games best.

Looks much better. Looked tired all last year as did Yeo.

Look at the difference when we use our bench and get rid of Tago.

Yes we are using the ball more but we have the energy to put plays on now

At his best, you only get 8/10 games from him. So he looks bad if he has down games.
Harden has got him ball playing more which helps

Wouldn't trust another fullback in the entire comp to do what he does. Teddy is probably next in terms of positioning.

He isn't a Ponga type player but we haven't needed that the whole decade. We've got two gun halves to lay on the points.

His ball playing has improved a bit.

Its a big credit to Ivan. He has evolved and adapted. We aren't the same team as last year.

Even Grant said it in the presser. He isn't accustomed to seeing Penrith play like this.

Depends what you are looking for though, rep footy is only 3 games

Teo said on MMM, as an assistant he studied teams and knew what we were throwing at them.

We are still completing at 80% and defending well, so the basics are there still

High completion rate shows we are playing to our plan, so it isn't just throwing it around

Special shout-out to Mansour too. Nice having an announcer that is a fan not just NRL elect corporate head with Panthers mode switched on.

Hopefully this can be a more permanent thing. Before my telly died last night (20 mins into 2nd half) I could hear his voice on the telly.
Others at the ground said he was very good.

Being an ex Penrith player hopefully this continues. Sauce mentioned it on X and appeared pretty chuffed about the whole thing.

That scintillating run by McLean was just awesome. The swerve, the balance, the speed. He is the first genuine speedster we have had since Wesser. We haven’t had genuine speed in our Fab Four years.

We had Staines although he'd be out the next game with a busted hammy everytime he got up to top speed.

He outraced JAC in early 2021 but never hit that sort of pace again.

2022/2023 Tago could explode through the line too.

However McLean seems to have 'footy speed' which is rare.

Pretty well made video on the topic of game speed:
