I doubt it's for his form. He has played better than Moretti and Guymer in both grades. I reckon JDB has spat the dummy when he learned we weren't going to activate the CO. Either that or it's activated based on playing a certain number of games this year, like Kirk Reynoldson at the Knights a few years ago.
If this is the case, it has to be up there as one of the dumbest signings this current recruitment regime has made. At least in the Reynoldson case not playing him was a way for the new Brian Smith regime to get rid of him. We don’t have that excuse - the same people who signed JDB are still all at the club.

Cherry picking performances now? You need to look at a larger sample. Not Koroisau's best game compared to Da Silva's worst ffs
Its a complete mismatch.

Api, playing around 80mins a game has made 108 tackles in 3 games at 90%

TDS is only averaging 25mins a game has made 59 tackles at 86%, completely fresh. imagine what he would be with another 60mins defending in the middle.

He simply cant tackle or pass.,

I dont see the point in this pedantry. I have said many times here that i wish he stayed at the Tigers. he is a good player. This whole deviation was simply me disagreeing with your assertion that TDS will play origin. He has serious flaws in his game that will keep him away from origin. I was hoping that he would stay at the Tigers and work on those flaws. IMO the reason he moved on is also the reason he will not progress his game to where it might have been.

Of course it is you dolt Api is 33 and played 230+ first grade games where TDS is 20 and played 30ish.

It just means we only needed him for a year. At his age he was likely to decline. the question was how much. If he was still close to his 2025 form, we would have activated the CO.

Well can you please explain to this dolt.......how Api and TDS have the same tackle effectiveness as Pou stated (which is what my post was referencing)? You agree?

108 tackles in 240 minutes is a poor work rate. It is Junior Paulo level. It allows a lot of time for active recovery between tackles. The small sample of games with such low defensive load would explain why Koroisau's tackle effectiveness is over 90% for the first time since he left the Panthers. I bet it doesn't finish the season above 90%. There will be more results like the one against Souths, where he missed 7 tackles from only 37 attempts. That's what happens when the 9 gets isolated in defence. It doesn't mean he can't tackle, and likewise with TDS.
TDS is only averaging 25mins a game has made 59 tackles at 86%, completely fresh.
And three of those games were against the top three favourites for this year's premiership: https://www.sportsbet.com.au/betting/rugby-league/nrl

Who have the Tigers played? The Warriors ($15) are equal sixth in betting and Souths ($14) are fifth. The Cowboys ($71) are 14th.

Well if he had to attempt less than a tackle every two minutes, like Api Koroisau, I expect it would be quite good.

He is an NRL dummy half. Where's your evidence that he can't pass? It is the most fundamental skill for a dummy half and there isn't one above Harold Matts level who can't do it. What separates the good ones from the rest are things that are more difficult to practice through repetition, like reading the defence and having the confidence to take an opportunity rather than playing it safe and passing to the bloke calling the ball.

You were the one cherry picking Da Silva's worst games and comparing it to Koroisau turning back the clock to when he was 28. I didn't say TDS was as good as Koroisau, I said his tackle effectiveness was as good as Api's since he joined Wests, which is correct. You were implying his game against Penrith was the typical TDS performance, which is incorrect.

No doubt and in time potentially a good one. Your assertion is that he will play origin.

Watching games with my own eyes. you should give it a try.

What separates good from average first grader is crisp accurate service. being able to pass properly. Getting forwards onto the ball properly. Ball out in front of the first receiver regularly and perfectly reliably so the backline can confidently build momentum. When a forward or halfback has to stop, reach up, or reach behind, the momentum stalls and worse for a forward they can lose possession. TDS sucks at this which MrMoses reminds him of repeatedly. THIS is what I mean when I say Haywood is better than TDS at already. TDS obviously has played many games at first grade etc, done many great things, but Haywood is head and shoulders better than TDS at simple service and when building an attack its the most important, otherwise chuck a half back at DH.

Again TDS will potentially be a good player

I don't assert he will play Origin, but unlike most of our players, I think he's a good chance. He is the best hooker in his age group by a long way. Maybe there's a bloke a couple of years younger with a higher ceiling who will leapfrog TDS right when Robson is past it (in 3-4 years), but even then there's injuries, and I'd say TDS will be good enough to get picked at some point. Even if it's a couple of Api Koroisau-style cameos.

No, TDS is fine at this. Moses got up him for doing his own thing (taking an opportunity) and not passing him the ball when he called it.

Sheens/Marshall/Ryles would never have picked a dummy half in first grade who can't pass. Your delusion tastes like grapes that have been out in the sun too long.

I and anyone who actually watches a game with any knowledge have been saying this for a long time, before he left the Tigers.
