What PVL says and what he does can be miles apart at times.
Is any club owned by members? I think souths members are owners but not the majority share.
It is simply not going to happen; particularly not from a majority aspect.

Based on what? If club is financially sound then it won’t need private investment so then it comes down to a decision making model. It is simply not going to happen; particularly not from a majority aspect.

lol the only wa fans who were pissed that the consortium didn’t get up is you. An Englishman.Based on what? If club is financially sound then it won’t need private investment so then it comes down to a decision making model.
I have my doubts and feel it was thrown out there to placate wa fans who were pssed at the wa consortium being turned away and the concerns ns would end up owning the license, but at this time we can only go on what is being publicly announced. It’s also in the strat plan.

Maybe like the Green Bay packers model? In that model no one person can own more than 4% of the total ownership shares.
Be exciting to have a club genuinely owned by fans, as long as it’s profitable and doesn’t need shortfalls covering!
Do fans of clubs owned by league clubs feel THEY really own the club if they are LC members?

Clubs are now making profits arent they? Like I said if they are financially doing well then owners putting money in will be unnecessary. You’re not this naive are you? Although the 300,000 petition comment might suggest otherwise.
Pretty simple. There won’t be enough members to financially support a club, particularly on the Green Bay Packers model where nobody owns more than 4%. That is unless you want to be the poorest club in the NRL.
Somebody will own a sizeable portion of the club because you need financial security.
There’s a stack of member owned clubs in the world inc some huge soccer clubs Like Real Madrid and Barcelona. It’s not an unheard of model By any means. The Green Bay Packers model was adopted in 1923 … it’s now prohibited under NFL rules for any other team …
It’s more unique throwback rather than something you should be pointing to for the Bears IMO

Do Barcelona, real madrid, Bayern Munich, every soccer club in Argentina, Celtic, Rangers, benfica etc etc?Real Madrid and Barcelona ..: high bar brother..,
The NFL had moved on though… do they know what they are doing?

like I said only reason it wouldnt work is if the club is running at a loss and needs debt covering. if it’s profitable in 5 yeras, and has built some equity then happy days.
not sure what you’re asking lolso you are comprised the Perth Bears with those clubs ? I don’t think the NRL is about to
not sure what you’re asking lol
And some of those clubs are institutions in their country with extremely wealthy backers/supporters who would rather sell their mother than see their club suffer financial hardship. You are comparing some of the biggest football clubs in the world over 100 years old to the Perth Bears
Souths are partly owned by membersThere’s a stack of member owned clubs in the world inc some huge soccer clubs Like Real Madrid and Barcelona. It’s not an unheard of model By any means.

still 5 years off yet and much bigger things to focus on between now and then!
Souths are partly owned by members
Emphasis on partly
The members get 1 seat on the board and 25% I think it is.
Mike Cannon-Brooks can buy them out with the coins stuck between his lounge cushions if needed
