Rumours and Stuff

I’m feeling very defeated today. The difference between the good clubs and the shit ones (doesn’t mean small club, just shit unsuccessful teams like us) is bigger than I ever remember it.

If you want to persist with supporting this club, I’d suggest you temper your expectations for the odd excitement of knocking over a team ranked higher than us on the ladder. That’s going to be the best moments however they are far outweighed by hopes and prayers whilst we absolutely suck most of the time.

Forget long ubdefeated runs, grand finals, top 4 spots on the ladder. It’s not happening.

I’m genuinely embarrassed by how much time, thought and passion I’ve put in to supported this team.
Yet they still turn up in droves, mission accomplished by management, hence there will be no foreseeable change for many years to come

Have you noticed anything about their demographics?

I have zero idea what your talking about half the time. But on the music thing I tell you a song that was terrible and cheesie in the day but I find it fun now and a great kick back to the 90s.

The guys at Cum throw should open their podcast with this song. It would be great.

Su’a would not even move the needle a little bit to the Eels. He also has plenty of defensive liabilities which is not what we need more of.

We need an elite edge player. Imagine what Liam Martin did for our team’s intimidation and defense! He’s worth $1.1 to me but f we could get him next season.

Su’a, ain’t much better than what we have.
He’s as elite as it will get at Parramatta

Yeah it’s a yawning gap between the top and the rest.
A bit of rotation at the top is good for the game and we could do with more of it.
But I don’t think the NRL care that much.
They probably point to occasional form turnarounds and ladder ‘successes’ (Bulldogs and Canberra last year) and say that’s evidence of clubs improving.
Maybe even other metrics like the number of wins and/or scoring margins for the bottom teams to show they’re not far off. Reality is, there’s an entrenched divide.
