Ippy is booming, lots of new people moving in due to Brisbane housing being so unafordable. It's starting to lose its stigma as an undesirable place too.
Won't be long and Woodridge will be seen as a desirable and classy area to live with the way things are going in regards to housing affordability.

16k the dolphins v titans

Forget about Brisbane 3 for a while
they’ll surge again later in the year. This game should’ve been a 2pm Sunday game not a 6pm Sunday game against the worst team in comp. also if this one crowd is bad then its also counter to your upgrade suncorp point.

more importantly how did the game and time slot rate? That’s all that matters especially considering it is likely to be the home game west aussie time slot since it'll be 4pm in perth

was always going to be a natural drop off from the hype and band waggoners from year one. Hopefully they dont sink to Titan levels!
Perthwrongs ding dong.
Dolphins killing every metric but now perthwrongs can’t wait to lay the boot into them off a one off late game on a Sunday night crowds against the worst team in the comp..

perthwrongs love to say context is everything, yeah when it’s convenient to him. Perthwrongs, ding dong.

I think you should take his opinion with a grain of salt. The Titans CEO was against the Dolphins coming in remember
Until the dolphins are averaging 30k I really can’t see much point in Brisbane 3

It’ll just stop the dolphins reaching their potential

We may stop after 20 for a bit which isn’t so bad with so many new clubs added

Once the nrl is ready to go past 20 then sure Ipswich and Adelaide will be next cabs off the rank

Need to see Perth and png really establishing themselves and need png juniors to be expanding playing depth to cover so many new sides

You’d think nz2 makes more sense but commercialy brisbane3 might be more appealing to nrl? They love the cash.

no it won't. only dolphins will stop dolphins reaching their potential.
learn to defend. win more games than ya lose and make finals. it'll pull in more fans to games instantly.

also them facing a basketcase like titans who came off an absolute drubbing the week before and titans fans arent the biggest supporter base or known to travel in a one off game is no indication that its doom.

also setting 30k on phins is ridiculous considering no one except broncos does it regularly and a one off dogs season last year.

that’s like saying “we can’t admit Penrith because it will impact Manly reaching their potential”

theyre 2 very different areas with likely minimal supporter overlap. If anything it’s the Broncos that would be impacted

If manly weren’t in the comp today the nrl wouldn’t be admitting them over Christchurch

Realistically we need to get to a 22 comp that includes NZ2, brisbane3 and Adelaide. 22 teams, 10 team final series.

Bris3 comes into effect for next tv deal. Adelaide comes into effect for next tv deal after that. Consistent growth.

NZ2 - 2030
Bris3 - 2033
Adelaide - 2038

Full Australian major metro coverage. Pacific well represented. QLD market locked down.

And the crazy thing is that we still have solid growth options after that.

There isn’t enough talent for 22 sides. It’s questionable that there is enough talent for 17 sides. A few sides would need to fold or relocate for these areas to be serviced.

NRL will be two comps, one in each hemisphere. 40 teams

Big bad AFL again … will the NRL need a 4th team in Brisbane down the track to hold them off after the 3rd team comes in ?
