Yeah he got a complete dog shot - one of those ones where 2 blokes are holding him by the arms/upper body and a third zero'd in on his ribs from about 5 m away. Very ugly. Uglier than hip drops.

That’s my point. You can get picked in these teams if the selectors or the star players like you. Because there’s not 17 genuine stars to fill these rep teams. There might be a dozen genuine stars and so they need to pad out the team with solid first graders. If the team wins, the bloke is suddenly an incumbent and likely to get picked again.

For a head clash? No chance.

We would've been better off without Russell for 10 minutes than for the 52. We would've been better with Simonsson in that last 25 minutes as well. Losing edge defenders mid-game is the kiss of death, and the reason we lost.
