I would argue that on terms of skills alone, Moses is his equal - possibly even better. Maybe.
But what separates Cleary from Moses is his mentality - never flustered, always composed, and demanding the ball when his team needs a spark.
Cleary is a genuine leader, and a genuine "give the ball, and I'll make something happen" player.
Yes, he plays in a team stacked with talent.
But he's stood up when this same stacked team has been down for the count so many times.
He's easily worth what he's being paid, and more.
Really, Cleary is like Sterlo and Moses is like Kenny.
Kenny does the flashy, naturally gifted stuff and it looks good.
When Sterlo retired, Kenny tried to control the team but didn't really go well. Kenny actually played a middle half role at lock towards his latter years of his career.
Moses should be a floating 6 who kicks.
We need a steady hand (Walker sort of does this but he's not on for 80m mins) to guide the team around and when Moses sees an eyes up opportunity, he overcalls and gets the ball.
From the limited games I have seen Volkman play, I dont think he does that. He sort of digs into the line and passes.
Don't know about Lorenzo.
Tanner Boyd would be good with Moses floating.
