I throughly respect your take but our front rowers are crap, neither forceful or skillfull, indeed I guarantee both have had their passing license withdrawn making both of them easy targets for being dominated. The rot starts in the engine room.
That's irrelevant. I agree Guler and Lawrie are dog sh#t. Still irrelevant. The forwards as a whole are making metres - our post contact metres are actually second in the NRL so far this season. We're 6th in metres gained. Forwards sure can be improved but they are so not the issue. Unlike years past, we are not losing games in 2026 because of the forwards.
If you can't see that 100% of our problems this year are on due to the lack of creativity and speed from the halves and the backline then I don't know how to help you see it.

That one PCM stat doesn't tell the whole story. When our halves keep turning the ball back inside to a second rower (when in good field position) rather than sending it out to the backs, that is then going to add to our PCM isn't it?

With the increase in set restarts this year, again that means our forwards are naturally running the ball more.

By no means do these stats indicate we have a dominant forward pack and it is just the backs/halves that are letting the team down.

?? Flegg running second on the ladder. Steelers running =3rd in HMatts.
And that is why Saints need Illawarra....Their juniors are far better than in the St George district. This merger is not as bad as people like to put it, just very poorly managed. It is an ideal setup for someone like Ivan Cleary and Bellamy who recognise good talent, know how to play then to get the best out of them and have the system in place for long term success.

I would also be putting Anderson on notice. Other than Keon he has not performed to my satisfaction

Anderson is one of the few things the club has got right (albeit 10 years too late) in recent times. He's been in the job maybe six months? He was the brains behind recruiting the crop of talented young Roosters coming through into first grade over the last few seasons. He knows what he is doing. It's still a miracle in my eyes that he jagged Keaon considering the dumpster fire we are.
What he needs is an attractive club to sell. We are anything but that right now. The big question is whether Watsford and the Crown Lager gang can provide him with that. We will soon see.

Apart from numerous other weaknesses we are really missing a strike centre..Buchanan doesn’t do it for me and Holmes/ Suli not up to the task

Sami would be the other one.
If we can sign the below 3 that would be strong adjustment

KK
Sami
Drinkwater FB

Averillo?

Half?

Another two props to replace Lawrie, Sele and Kerr?

Im leaning to keeping Guler at the right price especially if KK was out with injury we need that starting kick return prop that is older / can handle the hard yardage
