Get 2 centres - Suli should be moved on as he doesn’t score or set up his winger - & move Holmes to the wing

Suli has been better than Holmes this year at centre. Holmes has been very bad, too many errors, so bad defensively and not as fast as he was last year. Suli doesn’t score much because he’s mostly played with Kyle Flanagan who can’t ball-play and set up the outside backs regularly. Put Kade Reed at 7 and Atko at 6 and we’ll be way better in attack and setting up our backrowers and outside backs

Our problems come down to a succession of coaches who are out of their depth with the current mode of NRL football. Add to this the fact that the club has allowed a litany of quality juniors to leave while signing up journeymen and older players whose reputations exceed their contributions.
Ford, Bostock, Robson etc have flourished elsewhere while our brains trust has effectively derailed the careers of O'Sullivan, Clune, Duffty, Sloane and so on while enshrining blood relatives, old mates or a motley crew of has-beens just here to collect a pay cheque. Gold Coast used to be the place Rugby league went to die. Now it's us.
Flanno is not the only old head struggling at the moment - Bellamy has a stellar roster but they look disjointed and off the pace, ditto Easts, ditto Souths, ditto Canberra. Bennett, for all his mystique, is yesterday's man who hasn't won a title since 2010 and leaves death & destruction in his wake. The only thing holding Canberra back is Sticky.
No more old nag players, or old nag coaches.
Someone in the Andrew Webster mould would be ideal. The Warriors have put a great squad together and they're my smokey for the title this season.

I played a few games of rugby in my younger days as a mate of mine convinced me to have a crack as I was playing centre in league. The difference was night and day between the two codes. I could’ve smoked a cigarette as the ball never got past the kick happy 5/8.

I was playing reps 5/8 in league but my school was rugby only at the time. Was sort of forced to play but eventually refused because all I was told to do was kick the ball. Not run or pass.

Dont think Holmes had any errors this week back on the left.. honestly the decision to move him right I reckon cost us 1 or 2 wins and is the #1 reason we are in this mess.. he is a left side specialist and our only x-factor... he also gives a threat outside Gutherson which was a major factor in our 2025 attack.. the whole thing was nuts and then he stuck with it for 5 rounds...

It's hard now cause our confidence is in the toilet.. but I hope Holmes can get his mojo back on the left, and now hopefully a faster winger outside him with CT's injury will be huge. Eventually Val will move to the wing but I don't think were there yet...

Yes similar games but so different. In league the ball is gold, hold onto the ball son and in union it’s like a hand grenade. Nobody wants it

in rugby the game is about territory, because every single interaction is contestable. You’re on the ball you can get it stripped off you. You get tackled, you can get the ball stolen. Knock on you can win the scrum. Ball goes out? you can win the lineout.

i don’t think it’s a worse or better game it’s just different. it can go from very slow to very quick in a split second.

likewise on the weekend, they run all these big sweep plays out to the right, just hit the bloke running at full pace he will likely score.

It is on him as well, though he needs to go looking for the ball more if it’s not coming to him.

Quite refreshing to hear Gutho speaking openly to a move. Usually, you hear it from the young blokes new to first grade.

Good one buddy, my judgement has obviously gotten worse when watching two and a bit years of complete rubbish from the coach you never criticise.

What's worse is now there will be daylight between us and 16th being two wins which looks very far off for us while your man the Drug Cheat is at the helm.

Any chance of you admitting you're completely wrong about Fraudagan or nah?

I played one game of rugby. I got tackled and half a dozen Tongans trampled me into the turf. I went back to league.

Yep. Every other team has at least two wins now. What a debacle. Our team is old, slow, unfit, unmotivated, and tactically incompetent.

Here it is. I'm watching. I must say I was impressed watching them concede 50 for the 2nd time in 6 weeks. To be averaging 38 points conceded per game. All those players thriving and yet apparently they don't know what a tackle is.

They're playing tomorrow if you want to watch it and compare back to how the drug cheat has us playing, might be something for you to do in your spare time champion
