He has a right to be upset they are poor and have had injuries.the guy chugging bourbon and eating pies in the grandstand runs harder than there forwards.Damm that’s me .Sorry flannagan not interested

Dragons NSW Cup team are 4W 1L, while their NRL team is 0W 6L.

Flanno says publicly at his presser "If I had some better options in Cup, they'd be playing NRL", and continues to choose the same 19 dudes week after week.

I have no idea if Loko is a decent player, but you can understand why he's asking for a release.
I'd imagine the other dudes wasting away in NSW Cup would be thinking the same too.

Here’s hoping mate, would be a shame if he’s lost to the game,
I’ve seen so many over the years
He’s got to get his tackling technique sorted both head knocks were serious ones and on my viewing his technique contributed getting his head in the wrong position.

Vailalo not far off i think. Im not watching cup much but hes young and hes kept Patea on the bench a couple times and Henry last week also. A couple of those guys are close i think, probably wont all get a shot but out of Vailalo, Wigmore and Clarke we are going to see at least 1 debut this year.
My guess would be Clarke is the most likely.

Ale I think has earnt a shot if during origin we are light on with middles and that would require Lindsay Smith getting picked for the Blues which I don’t think will happen. I looked at stats from cup on the weekend and Ale had 19 runs for 203 metres in his 52 minute stint but only 10 tackles which is kind off low.

The pleasing thing for me from the weekend in cup was both Pates and Henry had really strong stints.

On face value those stats are hugely impressive.

Doesn’t alter the fact salary cap management is strategic, requires long term planning as has been seen in the last week or so with our club locking up another four or five prospects.

Every time a prospect may or may not become available doesn’t automatically make them a must sign, there are many other considerations.

The Dragons have denied his initial request for a release so that is where it stands for the time being.

If I were to hazard a guess on his likely destination if is granted a release then the Storm is my tip. Gut feeling.

Mitch Kenny I'd be keeping. He isn't going to cost too much.

While we have Blaize/Cleary I keep Kenny. If something dramatic changes in the halves might cause a re-think for a more crafty 9.

Yeah if I was letting guys go it is Martin and Tago. Id imagine along with Sorrenson and Henry already going that would be enough. Maybe even Tago alone would be.
Guys like Too,Edwards,Leota,Yeo are all getting towards their ends I'd imagine in the next 3yrs or so. Hard to tell if they will be at their peaks still and when they'll drop off.
I imagine priority will be given to keeping Guys who dont have a good replacement in the junior ranks.

Kenny is probably the best defensive hooker in comp. He hits like a brick and is aggressive.
He also can fill in as a running forward if you have an explosive hooker with a run game you want to bring on.
Kenny is also amnexcellent passer of the ball. He isn't very creative though or a huge attacking threat. But if he was then he'd be Harry Grant and cost 1.2mill+ so its kind of pointless wishing he was.

W.EganStarling,Tds for example are better in attack.. But who would you prefer? There are heaps of hookers better in attack then Kenny but you wouldn't trade them for him simply cause he is so good at the other important areas.

Yeah but almost anyone can defend next to Yeo. Best defensive middle in the sport

Your post wasn’t too bad until you included TDS in it. You could’ve said many hookers are better than Kenny in attack but not sure TDS is even First Grade standard right now.

Mitch Kenny needs to cash in on what may be his last shot at a significant deal.

The reality is we can’t offer him anywhere near what he would receive elsewhere.

If I’m Mitch , within reason, I am looking at cementing my long term financial future. He has to take the money on offer that I expect he could secure elsewhere.

You think Kenny has a better attacking game? I don't. I think Kenny currently is a far better player. TDS ceiling is higher.

On a side note. Would an Owen Pattie be a good 14 for Penrith? Kenny for 60mins.

Mitch Kenny I expect will move on, he has to secure his financial future.

The Panthers brains trust are well ahead of the curve, they are a few moves ahead in terms of the next man up and that player will most likely be from within our own ranks.
