Great game. I was happy to see Volkman play well. He can play and just needs to stay fit. Pezet can stay in Cup.

Nanva defended well. He owned Preston.
Pryke also made an important tackle. Xerri split us and had his winger with him. Pryke chased and got him otherwise he goes the length and its an 8 point game. Kelma and KK wouldn't of chased there. That's just that facts.
Kelly cost us 2 tries but he also scored a freakish one and every carry he was dangerous. Right now I think he stays over Nanva for wing. But not for centre.

Will Penisni best game in 3 yrs.
Oh and Moses' defense is so so so good nowadays. He takes down big guys with ease

That has to be one of the most memorable victories in my memory, up there with so many finals wins and also the Roosters win last year.

I had a feeling they would put in a much better effort than last week, considering all the hype with the 1986 team and the legends getting together,, however I didnt think they would come out with that performance. Everyone played well and all had a dig.

Such an amazing performance. Whatever Ryles said to the boys during the week, it certainly made them grow so much. Full credit to everyone that played together, they all should be proud of themselves.

They not only did it for the legends today but they did for us fans and themselves. Thank you!!!
before each game, play them 15 mins of Pricey giving everything on the field and the last was it 7 mins of defense from the 86 grandfinal where the dogs just kicked into our in goal and got repeat sets after sets after sets.

That should make them want to replicate the same on the field

Unbelievable performance defensively and maintaining decent possession. On top of those foundations the attack and points follow.

A lot of guys ("senior" guys) stepped up the effort in the first 20mins so that we were still in the game, and having Walker come on from the bench at that point then helps.

Good effort - but can we now do it two weeks in a row...?

Last week I was absolutely ropable. As I mentioned, I can handle losing but I cannot handle rolling over. So much so I put $100 on the Dogs at $1.35 to win on Monday. I’ve never been happier to lose my money. Of course the question needs to be asked why we are so bipolar but that’s perhaps a question for another day.

Will Penisini was absolutely superb today. At just 23, I’m hoping he still has room for improvement but today he played it tough and ran it straight. Nanva looks very decent. He impressed me as well. Barlow rolled back the clock in a big way. He was everywhere. Pryke on debut also impressed. Joash had his best game in Blue and Gold.

Now let’s back it up against a very much in form Manly side.

Ok before I blow smoke up players asses.

I know Will Penisini had some nice runs and Kelly ran the most meters for any player in our team and set-up Joash but their defence was the cause of 4 tries today..
Kelly twice rushed up and caught a cold Will could have prevented Galvin and Xeris tries if he wasn't lazy..

Ok now for the good stuff..

All our forwards aimed up Williams and Guymer were terrific in the second row Toni came on and ran hard and defended well which is why I dont want to see Willimas play front row again..
JDB did his job
Pryke was brilliant in the middle worked himself to a stand still...
Barlow if he plays like he did today then can stay for another year..
Walker did ok off the bench probably threw 2 bad passes 1 was to Toni which he dropped.
Moretti also performed well . Needs to start again.

Moses did well Volkman should be the reason we dont see Pezet again in the blue and gold....
JAC and Nanva did well Nanva saved a few tries with his defence today.
Joash as well over played his hand a few times but was safe out the back and did well to get a try.

Talking to Dylan Walker at the dinner on Friday night and he was not only confident but supremely certain we were going to win…I asked him how much have you drank tonight? …

his response……’ just trust me’

Walker has been a terrific signing brings his experience I hope we keep him and also get him on board as a coach for the younger players..

That was the only downer conceding those soft tries. Hopefully its something they'll fix up next week.
