Here it is. I'm watching. I must say I was impressed watching them concede 50 for the 2nd time in 6 weeks. To be averaging 38 points conceded per game. All those players thriving and yet apparently they don't know what a tackle is.

Trying to find your comment from yesterday where you said the eels are thriving and for me to watch tomorrow ? I’m watching and seeing a piss poor performance hahahahahha

Are you two clowns still around?

Wow amazing how a decent coach can get a reaction out of his team. Eels were shit last week, got booed off by their own fans.

This week, they beat a top 4 team as a response and what a response!
All this with more than 10 regulars in the injury ward. Clearly Ryles can get an immediate response from his players, Flanagan cannot and we keep dishing out the same shit.

Pretty sure @InFlannoWeTrust was happy last year seeing us lose to anyone as long as it was a close score line, considering we had a few mediocre players injured, that was a good excuse for your mate Fraudagan less than 12 months ago wasn't it?

Anyway well done you two Clowns going the early crow just to try and settle a score 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Just watched a very spirited committed eels
Side beat bulldogs and thought our club has got no heart left… it is a soulless empty space….we could never play with that type of committment
Yes mate, unheard of in these parts. How many different people kept using our injuries as an excuse last year for losing games?

DRAGONS’ $1M PROBLEM

Valentine Holmes is St George Illawarra’s $1 million dollar problem.
Holmes is the Dragons’ highest paid star and one of Shane Flanagan’s most experienced players.
Not that you’d know it.
Holmes had a shocker against the South Sydney Rabbitohs on Saturday night and was sorely exposed in defence by powerhouse centre Latrell Mitchell.
When he wasn’t left clutching at thin air, Holmes’ defensive reads made him look like a player out of his depth. He finished the Rabbitohs clash with 13 tackles, and his poor defensive efforts led to three of Mitchell’s four tries.
Holmes is a shadow of the player that made him a Maroons and Kangaroos star.

He’s also another of Shane Flanagan’s guys, bought to the club for his experience and representative calibre.
Right now, the Dragons, who have lost seven-straight this season and 11-straight including 2025, are not getting a return on investment on either front.
When Flanagan needed Holmes the most, the Queensland outside back let down his under siege coach.
Holmes is no match for Mitchell
Mitchell storms through again
Holmes with a poor read on Johnston
Another Rabbitohs break down Holmes' side
Flanagan’s recruit decisions have been under the blowtorch with that of fullback Clint Gutherson the most scrutinised.
But it’s the decision to sign Holmes, who still has one more year left on his deal, that should be under the brightest spotlight given his efforts in recent weeks.

Criticism of Holmes came thick and fast after the Rabbitohs clash, namely that he looks disinterested. It’s a damning accusation but one that is hard to argue with.
Holmes’ spot in the side for the Anzac Day fixture against the Roosters should be in jeopardy.
What will save him is the severe lack of depth in the outside backs for the Dragons at the moment.
Flanagan has maintained his players haven’t stopped playing for him, and a handful of Dragons are helping the coach save face on that front.
But not Holmes, whose efforts against the Rabbitohs did Flanagan’s fight for survival no favours.

It now seems to me that our Board does not understand what is needed to run a successful club. Hiring Flanno, Young, and Ennis (all former hookers) was a poor decision but leaving recruitment management in the hands of Haran was probably the worst decision made in the club's history.

As it turns out we let the real marquee players sail past and instead hire old mates of Flanno who are past their used-by date:
Holmes - center
Gutherson - fullback
Cook - hooker

Alternatively
In the centers, Mitchell, Farmsworth, or one of 4 SOO centers could have been ours.
At fullback, Ponga, Tedesco, and Turbo all came onto the market during the subject period
Robson should have been our hooker target, and we should have always been trying to bring Bosstock back to the Dragons.

In the end, we have ended up in this mess, mainly because Flanno and Haran were not made to justify their recruitment decisions.

Of course, the performance of our current halves stands out when it comes to nepotism influencing our team selections and quality for players needed in the halves.

he was disgusting. He was worse than 2022 Morgan Harper on Sifa Talakai (which i don’t think he was barely seen in first grade after)

I think unless we have a new coach lined up for 2027 and he is the equivalent of Brad Arthur or Brad Arthur himself then Flano stays for 2026

especially given Drinkwater negotiations and no doubt a couple more players

or have we decided we want Payten and he reunites with Dean Young and brings Scott Drinkwater and Taulagi?

I’m guessing that Benny Creagh , Benny Hornby and Dean Young have a good relationship

so as an outside chance it is Ben Hornby ?
