Burt should be the Long Kicker Finch's kicking game leave much to be desired...

Good second half though and i think he knows he played crap in the second half..

Let him go and Sign up this young half that was just let go by his club...

Honestly, what are the alternatives???? Beggars can't be choosers!
I know - there is nothing there - there really isn't much available ....... BUT I don't know if you just throw a chunk of your cap for several seasons at a slightly above average player for the sake of it .... I dunno - finchy isn't terrible but i really don't wanna see us waste alot of money on him

we do miss Smiths kicking game IMO.

Now this is JUST MY OPINION......If you don't agree with it..then that is YOUR OPINION which you are entitled to hold, and I am pleased for you...
Maybe the team does miss Tim's short kicking game from within the attacking quarter.
But for the rest of the field,- and I'm sure even the leader and members of his cheer squad would agree - Tim Smith was a passenger in both attack (because he couldn't - or wouldn't - run the ball); and defence (because he was hidden outside the outside back)...and he did not have a long kicking game. Correct me if I am wrong, but in his whole three seasons in first grade, I cannot recall him kicking a 40/20.
I remember the sledge Joey Johns put on him during the first season... "So you are the new Peter Sterling are you?"...
I don't think Smith recovered from that 'sledge'. I think it cut him to the bone..

Let me pick apart your post... I'll use Finch tonight as an example...

Where is Finch Positioned in defence pete? thats right where Tim SMith was and who scored tonight thanks to finch? Tony Pulatua.. So you cant say Smith was any worse then Finch there..

How many Bloody 40/20's has Finched kicked???

Smith had a better long kicking game then Finch atleast he can kick into touch..

From now on if i was Finch i would let Burt take the long kick.. Ok i wouldnt even kick the ball again...
If you say that Finch kicked well once tonight you should (IN MY OPINION) Give up..

That is really a poor post, not because of your usual personal agenda against Tim but for your basic understanding of the game.

I've often wondered if you just started watching league recently, some of your ideas i thought were a piss takes, but the sad thing is your actual serious about them eg Morris, J Smith, Feletio, Mick Lett etc

Oh, and how can you be a passenger when in 2 of the 3 years in the NRL you were top two in try assists? lol

Your post is actually quite embarrasing for yourself.

http://www.nrl.com s a good place to go to find out more about Rugby League

Finch is one of the most enthusiatic players in the game and gives his all.

Pete, that doesn't make him one of the best, he cannot dominate when we have possession, and to be fair, Tim was very good when we had good possession stats.

I am not saying that you are all wrong, but apart from his chasing and the occasional run at the line, Finch does not offer any more or as much as Tim. Mateo was the man for the majority of the game, and even Hagan put KK at half when he came on,

As I said before, we don't and shouldn't throw too much at Finch, he will be useful to do the simple things while the younger guys come through.

To be fair to Finch i dont think Smith would have come out playing like Finch did in the 2nd half, Finch did involve himself enough to get the eels back into the game..

Ron...in real life are you Robert Mugawbe...
He has a similar outlook on life to you. Does not allow anyone else to have a different opinion.
From now on, I will refer to you as "Robbie"....:p

No, nothing wrong with opinions, just apply it too all players you don't rate instesad of only doing it to Tim, hence personal.

Pete why is it when someone doesnt agree with your opinion you resort to this sh*t instead of debating/ discussing with them the difference??

Is it because you were a Jurno and you didnt have to get an opinion on what you thought??

Actually, in my reading of all these type of threads, it's actually the opposite.

PP states his opinion on the matters, and also says that part of life is people being able to have different opinions and everyone is entitled to theirs.

It seems to me that it's people like RJ who for some reason don't want to allow people to have opinions that are different from their own, choose to always pick up on PP's opinions and can't let them go.. :x
