He's certainly got a great pass, both sides too.

I thought quinn deserved MOM, for a winger he was in everything and defensively he was brilliant.

Good call on Quinn actually Surely. For a guy that many, including me, didn't think should be in the team he really stepped up a few gears. I know it was his defence that stood out but geez he's a hard critter to tackle. All arms and legs and none of them ever still.

My mangina could open it's own juice bar when watching King Bird play these days.

Fug he's gonna command a bit next year when he's off contract. Sell the leagues club and sign him for life.

Dual captaincy for him and Gall

The halves and scrum base were awesome - Bird, Wallace, Gallen and Hoffman were simply outstanding. And I agree that Quinn was superb both in attack and defense. He showed Gaz how to read when you come in quick and when to stay out on your man which is a BIG weakness in his game IMO.

I wonder if we could swap Quinn for Paris??? Just a thought .....

Plenty of class in Blue shirts last nite, but Bird deserved MOM.

Polished performance in attack and defence and bring an aura of intimidation that is rising with each performance in the blue shirt.
Fears no-one and plays with such tougness he won't be outplayed by his rival.
Will smash them when they have the ball and will break most one on one tackles.

The Myth that is Carl Webb continues.

Talk back radio in both states today suggested otherwise. In fact it was like when Wally used to get the MOM every game & NSW used to blow up. But in this instance even NSW supporters are saying that 3 players were hard done by.

Wallace & Quin were the the most favoured for MOM closely followed by Fitz.

Some bright sparks on talkback radio:

"Hey Ray, do you think Souths can still make the semis?"

"I wanna talk to Blocker. Blocker, mate, those allegations about the Dogs in Coffs are a media beat-up."

I mean what they reported from other coaches, the hosts, the ch 9 crew etc etc. as well as what fans from both states were saying.

I didn't hear any talk back today but that doesn't surprise me obviously.

The thing for me is that I had an inkling Bird was going to get it after a Joey comment just after Bird made his bust in the second half. Yeah, I realise the selectors pick it but they'd be listening to the rantings of Joey and Matty who are truly in awe of Bird it seems. When Joey said that Qld had no answers to Bird and they couldn't handle his footwork the writing was on the wall IMO

Doesn't worry me though. The blues haven't had such an influential player since Barrett.
