maybe. time will tell. i am yet to be sold on him being that good.

like i said, when he faces better opposition we'll see. there's no doubt he can be a devastating runner and trample almost anyone but i think his size may work against him sometimes.

I have heard his attitude is great and he will do whatever it takes to get fit if thats what your implying, hence IMO he will be a great player. He reminds me of Tony Puletua but with a better attitude.

We'd be coming last or 2nd last without Mateo this season.

and we'd be coming first if it wasnt for grothe

he has cost us manly and brisbane single handedly

that means we wouldve been 7 and 4
and first

with Tuesday fast approaching, today is a day to reflect. As good as Tony is, or is going to be, do we need another back? We cant field 13 backs, we have an abundance of backs of various standards, all good enough if our forwards do well. Dont forget Etu and Grehan and the likes at Wenty. If you take the emotion out of it we really need a front rower and a second rower of first grade standard.

I have been on these boards and gone off my nut about losing Williams, I have checked this thread every day..... but if the numbers bandied about for his second and third year are right we cannot match that it would be insane, Manly will pay the price for it if correct. If we offer him a fair contract and he accepts it great I will be rapt.

I sincerely hope we keep him I have no doubt he will come back to bite us one day, but not at the expense of ruining the whole squad.

Williams = back-rower.

yeah maybe, but he could also be less effective in the backrow against the big boys, which could really come back to bite you!

I cant remember a time in the game when there has been such a depth of quality backrowers.

I am very disspointed in our Club.

Micheal Hagan wants Tony Williams to stay. But our CEO Doesn't see him worth $150,000.00 a season.

Tony Williams Loves the Parramatta Club. He wants to stay. But Our Ceo doesn't think his worth $150,000.00 a season.

Our CEO NEEDS TO GET GLASSES AND SEE HOW WE CAN RETAIN HIM. HAS TILL FRIDAY TO DO SOMETHING.

if Hagan wants Williams at the club, than Hages can nail him...nothing to do with Fitzgerald, Fitzy will back any decision that Hages/Hill make regarding player retention.

Would anyone care to elaborate how much Finch is earning for the next 3 years. I would guess he's getting alot more than hes worth.
Just saying this because theres some very talented halfbacks in the lower grades.

even if he was on that i'd say players like Cayless and Grothe are getting paid far more than they're worth

Hindy looks shot and is imo heading that way too

Good :) I'd be disappointed if those figures were correct tbh

as far as I'm aware and was reliablty informed that finch will be paid as much as he's getting now. which is why he nailed a 3 year deal and not 2.

Anyone who thinks that Finch is bad for our club is a kangaroo short in the top paddock.
