Anyone who thinks that Finch is bad for our club is a kangaroo short in the top paddock.

I actually think he's more important off the field than on it but yes, he's a genuine leader and an old hard head who can be very good for Trent, Dan, KK and Kelly.

Even I don't think Finch is bad for the club....he certainly has things that we need and can utilise.

His contract with manly will in fact never be registered. We are free to call him up into our team as need be until he retires.

Shattered that our hopes have been dragged back up only to be smashed back down again but let's give Cardinal some credit for having a crack based on his info. I very much doubt that he just made it all up. I'm sure that whoever his source was truly was hoping and pushing for the club to rethink things. Its just that there's more than 1 or 2 people with influence over these decisions and his source was only one person.

Anyway, back to slashing my wrists over the prospect of T Williams in a Manly jumper. :)

I am very disspointed in our Club.

Micheal Hagan wants Tony Williams to stay. But our CEO Doesn't see him worth $150,000.00 a season.

Tony Williams Loves the Parramatta Club. He wants to stay. But Our Ceo doesn't think his worth $150,000.00 a season.

Our CEO NEEDS TO GET GLASSES AND SEE HOW WE CAN RETAIN HIM. HAS TILL FRIDAY TO DO SOMETHING.

Please tell me how you would feel if our CEO signed a WINGER from another club who had never played a single first grade game, at the price of $150k (and up to $300k in incentives). Look forward to your response.

I thought Hagan had complete autonomy over the roster?

Then if T Williams loves the club so much, maybe he could take a cut initially and exercise a bit of forsight in his future years at Parra he is only 19 isnt he? maybe it will take him a year or 2 longer to become wealthy at Parra as oppossed to other clubs, if he loves the club so much let him prove it, f**k me its not his last contract.:?

Cliffy

Let me tell you what I believe will happen. NRL will be dead in 10 years because the NRL supports NON-CONTRIBUTING CLUBS like yours.
Yes MANLY and ROOSTERS are prime examples.

They offer the NRL 0/zilch/nothing.
They develop no local juniors and complain their area isn't big enough.
Well your club should not be based at Brookvale or should be forced to merge. The game will die if clubs like Manly and Roosters are continually supported for contributing nothing to the game.

The NRL hierarchy should be more concerned about all clubs developing more juniors and winning the war against rival codes.

Flashing the chequbook around at juniors from other clubs actually makes League go backwards.

How long do you think Parra and Penrith will continue to spend money on juniors if they have no benefit?

IfIwas Fitzi I would hold the NRL to randsome. Pay us for developing the games juniors or we'll stop all together, love to see where you would get your players then Cliffy.

Well done Cliffy, you support a club thats offers 0, glad you're happy that.

The fact that you have more Parra juniors in your team than Manly juniors says alot

so whats with men around Manly? don't thay have any balls to be able to play League?

This quote from Hagan pretty much sums it up for me...

Asked would the Eels make a late play for Williams, coach Michael Hagan said: "I don't know we're in a position to do that.

Who the f#%@ is steering this ship?

Goes back to the old saying.....better to lose a player one year too early than one year too late.

I would love for Grothe to go right now
He is on about 250k form reports of when we signed him...
That is to much for a winger IMO

Hayne and INU are both about 300-350K which is alright because these guys are more likely to play in the centres then on the wing. Grothe is a winger fullstop.

Reddy should be one winger, and we should either shop for an avg hard working winger (i liked J.Williams because defencivly solid, quick and stayed on his wing). Maybe a jnr player can come through and just play solidly, we have Hayne and Inu to do the magic outwide.

We have overspent for nto performing outside backs, and asmuch as Eric pushs forward... at peek of his powers he is not worth 250K.

Turner is nothing special and looks good because he does simple thing right, if we had Benny and Delany as our centres I would have no problems with Eric on that money because he would add speed. But with Inu, and Hayne he is covered in that area.

Let go grothe, and sign Williams. I disagree with HJ, don't blame Hayne or Inu, Grothe was the one that held the club to threats he was going to Rugby, Hayne and Inu said all along they wanted to be loyal.

Burt
(Etu/Jnr)/Inu
Inu/Benny
Hayne
Reddy

that still is one of the best backlines in the comp. Reddy has 8 tries to his name this year because he does the little things right. I wouldn't have minded keeping Lett for the wing, I would also back the releasing of Benny.

Let Eric and Benny off to England... and kept guys like Williams. I wont blame Cayless, Hindy, Hayne or Inu... Benny has been unlucky with injury but you cant expect to carry a guy for 2 years and have him eat up the cap. Hate to say it but he should never have been resigned (even as a backrower with our depth there)
