You avoid the question once again! I'll make it simple. Is it ok for your mob to sign juniors from another club?

as long as we put back into the competition with juniors ourselves

what is Manly putting back in?

just name every single regular first grade player in the entire NRL that is a Manly junior.

It was announced on the Manly website on the 27/05/2008. I assume nothing has changed. read the link:

http://www.manlyseaeagles.com.au/news.asp?newsid=3231&Mth=5&Yr=2008

yet an article from today says nothing has been signed
http://www.leaguehq.com.au/news/new...with-wigan-deal/2008/06/10/1212863644716.html

"Nothing's been officially signed but we've spoken to his manager several times today and he assures us that there's no drama," Sea Eagles chief executive Grant Mayer said.

so you can't answer my question?

i suspect you just don't want to

Simple, Look them up yourself. And yes, you're correct, I don't want to and couldn't be bothered. While you looking you may aswell list the Eels juniors.

there is a source. it was in this post just above it and that article is dated June 11. That's TODAY. http://forums.leagueunlimited.com/showthread.php?p=4287535#post4287535

what :?

imo if they've helped him out through the last 4 years or so then he hasn't shown much gratitude by leaving

where would he be if they hadn't done what they stated in one of the Eels' releases?

maybe i'm being a bit harsh

when?

what have i made up :?

i think you need to backup your claims before going off your tit

To address your attitude about Williams not being grateful of being nurtured - you suggested that you may be being a little harsh - and I accept that. Imagine YOU worked for a company on market based pay, say as an apprentice. You come to your 4th and final year of your apprenticeship, and your employer says, mate, we are struggling to pay all our apprentices at the moment, but would like to offer you a work place agreement on $75k odd for 3 years (example only). You are absolutely grateful - the other workers love you around the work site etc etc etc. The problem is that you have a couple of kids at home, or are cashed strapped for whatever reason (say paying a mortgage instead), and another organisation approaches you, and says El Diablo, we think you are worth $150k per annum, but understand you have had a long association with your previous employer. What do you do? Do you sign with Manly, but bust your gut for the rest of the current year because you appreciate what Parra have done, because it's what is good for your family money wise, and maybe even a slight advancement (regular 1st grade) on where you currently are, or do you say blow the money, blow the 1st grade time, I'll hang around Parra for around a 3rd of my career because it makes everyone feel all warm and fuzzy?

Now, that being said - I know how you feel. I believe you "might" be hearing in the near future that Matt Ballin will be signing with The Bronco's. I'm filthy about it, but I still know he would absolutely appreciate what Manly have done for him. It doesn't just happen to Parra dude.

I regard to the other stuff, Hagan questioned Manly, suggesting we are rorting the cap because we had just signed Bailey, then Williams (where Hagan's coming from I don't know with Bell / Willow / Menzies and maybe Ballin all going), and you gave me a warning saying I was making false allegations, when all I did was cut and paste an article straight out The Manly Daily - with an author - with a date. Therefore, I am not just "going off my tits" mate. It kind of annoyed me is all.

You then said that Williams "obviously" wasn't grateful. It wasn't that obvious to me. The way he played for you guys made me think quite the opposite really. You just made that up. You alleged he wasn't grateful.

I hope you can see where I'm coming from - and I now realise that there has to be a link in an article, and will do so in the future. Why, is beyond me, as it would just be a link to where someone else cut and pasted it, so it would really just be a waste of time.

Long rant I know - apologies lads.

Who gives a rats about juniors? What, are we living in the pre-professional era? Rugby league is a business these days, get with the programme FFS! I wouldn't give a rats if Manly NEVER produced another junior, as long as we had a competitive side. It is a free market system, so get over it. I doubt that billion dollar teams such as Man Utd and Real Madrid were overly worried about the number of local juniors their teams consisted of.

let me rephrase the question we all know he has announced he decided to go to manly why hasn't it been announced that he has signed the contract there is no information anywhere to confirm or deny that

Maybe he's holding out because Guru is talking turkey with ESL ? This thread will never end !

Again with the juniors -who cares!!! I wouldn't lose a lick of sleep whatsoever if Manly had a squad of 17 imports. Geez, it is like the Big League from 25 years ago when the team lists had an asterix for the inported players. Stuck in time warp these Parra fans!

Oh, we don't have any juniors, how are we gonna survive?!

I just wish that I was a millionnaire so I could buy EVERY Parra junior out there, just for a laugh.

I don't expect an annoucement. And I'm not expecting another anouncement on Chris Bailey either. Your club and CEO said they're not going to counter offer and his manager says he'll honour the deal.
