it's been brought up before, i am sure. i doubt he'd take a pay cut if he can get a run in england for far more than the ludicrous amount he's already getting...

A known niggler, gives away penalties right at the death, straight infront of the sticks, kiss goodbye winning any nailbiters!!

Yeah he can cart the ball up and do the hard yards occasionally, also has been known to go missing at times!

He'd be asking massive overs, pack your bags ryles, and head over to UK.

I know a few saints fans who'll happily pack his bag and drive him to the airport!

It's been said before, but under a good coach Ryles would flourish. Being "coached" - and I use that term incredibly loosely - by Brown for the past 8 years certainly hasn't helped him. I'm surprised he wouldn't want to stay under Bennett, it would be an opportunity for him to really leave a mark on the game.

Seems Bennett thinks he's taking up too much coin... Not strictly the case the Ryles wants to go, more that Bennet wants to free up some cash...

Ive always rated him.

Take the few silly penalties out of his game and he would be top shelf IMO.

We can't afford him.

We probably could if we released Morris (saints might be interested...they look a bit short in the hooker/utility role), let go of O'Hara and lose Te'o.

I'd offer him a 3 year deal. He is in good form and the best props in todays game are in their 30's (Petero and Price). It would be good to sign a fit, quality, experienced front rower.

This year, he has been second only to Steve Price.

I'll take the odd silly penalty for a top shelf prop who makes 150m a game.

My understanding is that the money O'Hara is on is being spent on Ellis next year? f**ked if I know the position on the salary cap though.

once. in extra time with his side needing to slow the play the ball after a linebreak.

now tell me about all the other occasions this known niggler has cost us games.

Considering we've resigned a fair few players this year, more than likely all have had upgrades, plus we need to have some money aside to put an offer to Matty Head.

Youngquest and Te'o wouldn't be on much, Te'o will be looking for a massive upgrade in wage.

O'Hara will be released or signed on a considerably lower contract, and his money will cover Ellis for next year

I'd hope that the money freed up for Hodgson's departure will pay for Head. And that will be that.

Morris is a drain on our cap, I wouldn't mind him too much if he were paid around 75,000 to 120,000. But he's on much more than that and it's going to cost us.

I think you might have to take the red and white blinkers off!

Your telling me he's not a known niggler? He trys to slow the play the ball down everytime he makes a tackle, has his hands all over the ball, then gets up blowing up like he's some innocent angel!

He's cost you more games than he has won for you!

He has some niggle in his game but if he were coached a little better he would be top shelf.

Problem is, there will be two new Super League teams next year and both would be beating themselves to death over the prospect of signing him. Not to mention the interest he would be receiving from current ESL teams. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a gig with the poms for somewhere in the vicinity of $650k a year. Massive overs I know but he is in the right place at the right time.

Madunit Morris is on $230k,I remember when he signed, basicaly a stright swap for Princes wage, unfortunately we lossed on the talent bit of the deal.
On Ryles he is the form frontrower this year,he gets a bum rap, check his stats they are miles ahead of our props.

Fixed.

According to NRL.com, he has the most hitups in the competition. The only other prop with more tackles is Luke Douglas (Heighington has also made more, but he's a backrower), and has the 5th most offloads in the competition.

Would give us so much more go-forward and his offloads would get lots of second phase play giving us the chance to show that attacking flair which we have. However, I doubt he would come here when he can play in ESL for about 3 times the price.
