I didn’t send my story to Josh Massoud for today’s Daily Telegraph print so I don’t know how that got there.

You put it to me on the phone yesterday and I quote, ‘do you think your actions are maybe hurting the game,’ end quote.
I dunno it’s kind of an unfair question really.
I’m not taking the heat for what’s happened to Rugby League today.
Those is charge have obviously failed to manage it properly and are too proud to admit to this.
Maybe the question that needs to be asked is, ‘should Rugby League have been marketed with high expectations in the first place.’
They need to concede defeat and get off their high horse and stop this push for expansion which is no different to Super League.
Remember the old saying making the big game bigger?
Maybe that’s their vision though, we don’t want fans to attend, the Sydney clubs will go under and we’ll introduce our ADL and Perth team at their expense.

This would make a good letter to big league or rugby league week.
I might break this above letter down and fire it off to big league mag.

I'm with you Dantm, I don't understand the total hatred of ANZ.

Sure not every seat has an awesome view, but in 100% of club games played there, seats with a good view are available to those who want them. People who claim they can't get a good view of the game at ANZ are either lying, or morons. And do people ever actually compare the view to those from suburban grounds. Shark Park has a friggen Power pole in the middle of the northern hill which doesn't exactly improve the viewing spectacle for people watching the game from there, campbelltown has very few good spots for watching the game. And while people love the atmosphere of hills, as soon as there is a decent crowd on one, comfort and visibility levels drops. And good luck if you are at a suburban ground on a rainy day.


And even though people here seem to be anti stuff that makes a profit (only exception being profitable stuff the NRL isn't doing, in which case its just proof of their incompetence) you can't ignore the fact that clubs make money playing at ANZ, and lose money playing at suburban grounds.

Wrong. The place is far too shallow for a good view unless you're in one of the front rows. Halfway back and you're too far away fom the action. No other ground i've been to has this problem. ANZ is a sh*thole.

Disagree totally. If you want to be under cover at ANZ then you are so far away from the pitch you end up watching half the game on the big screens, kind of defeats the object of not staying at home!
