But Stain fans are seriously kidding themselves if they think Vadge was the sole reason they lost.
i second that

Opinion poll should be interesting... happy for it to be merged with the Ryles send off thread
Should Badger be dropped for his questionable performance tonight?
As for Slater being a dog. Whinge Whinge Whinge.
Its an interesting question you raise Tim. I think the most important part of it all has kinda been glossed over a bit. Prior to Ryles lashing out at the scrum, when the melee happened, he warned both teams any more niggle and someone would be sat down. In amongst all the referee bashing that has gone on this year (and yes I know I have been at the head of the queue) shouldn't he be given credit for following up on his "threats"?
Sure, the send off was harsh and as someone in another thread said, perhaps a sin-bin would have been a better option, but really, he warned them and then followed through. We've seen teams get warning, after warning, after warning this year and the refs have been accused of being too soft, yet when one of them does actually do what he says he will, he gets hauled over the coals for it.
Problem is, LIMA was the instigator, and got barely a peep said to him.
The system is f*cked. Simple as that.
Yeah I'm sure you'd come to the same conclusion if Parker was kicked in the head whilst lying down, & Wallace was punched while 3 opposition players were holding him.
Wanker.
It's Rugby League ffs, who are you going to blame next? Alexander? Raymond? Who?
Front rowers often strike out with the foot. Tonight it was actually Lima that instigated and Ryles retaliated - I suspect that'll be part of his defence if or when this makes it to the judiciary.Being a tough game you could say its a joke that he got sent... but the rules state you kick someone you get the finger... The problem i have is that Lima wasn't sent aswell...
No need imo... the question of Badger's demotion rests not specifically about the send off alone.happy for it to be merged with the Ryles send off thread![]()
Nice show of sportsmanship from the Dragons fans.
Ryles tried to bluff the ref and failed. Idiot. His team should have kicked the sh*t out of him in the sheds.
You don't win a premiership with discipline like that...
As for the ref, the sin bins were justified under the laws of the game. As was the send-off. As another poster said, kicks are send-offs. The only issue is whether it qualified as a "kick". The ref had warned the captains re- further issues before.
IMO it didn't deserve a send-off, will result in no suspension and was too literal a decision from the ref. A mistake on the ref's part. But one of interpretation only.
Stupid, stupid play from Ryles is indisputable...
He stomped on his toe. He only kicked out after he was kicked. Are you blind or so keen to find evidence against Ryles that you cant see your arse from your elbow? Seriously...
As for the sin bins..... all Soward did was get up FFS. He had his head down. He did nothing at all to be sent.
The choice of players to the bin went on the reports of the touch judges, not the referee. Or are you blind or so keen to find evidence against the ref etc. etc. f**king raver.
Ryles. Stupid act which showed no discipline. I have no issues with the bloke or the club. No axe to grind. But I'm f**king Robinson Crusoe here.
