he says he'll talk about compensation , not that he'll accept compensation.

Well SBW does have the Dogs over a barrel. Really anything the Dogs get now is good. One good thing that will come out of this, is that future contracts will be worded to take into account this happening.

they already do

if the dogs cave in it will show contracts mean nothing.

go for the full damages they are entitled too which would be millions

a court case against the player and the union club will nip lots of this in the bud.

if the union club is liable for damages itself it will make them think twice about bidding for a contracted player

hit SBW and the union club with a multi million dollar damages claim (eg 5 million) and it will make people think twice

The thing is the damage that can be done by lawyers fees and the things that come up in the court case, which could further tarnish the Dogs.

Whether it's worth that to the Bulldogs, I don't know. What I do know is that a compromise by securing a payout, is the better option.

BS mate, SBW would have to pay all the dogs legal costs too.

if i were the dogs i go :

1. loss of crowds at 5000 per game for 4 years $5 million
2. Loss of corporates / sponsors for 4 years $2 million
3. NRL / ARL loss of sponsors (gates / WC) $5 million
4. Loss to the kiwis $2 million or so

hit him and the union club with a $14 million damages claim, they would s**t themselves.

the union club would need to offer the dogs at least $2 million as a transfer fee given the length of SBWs remaining contract.

the real damages suffered are still far larger.

But do the Dogs want him back? I don't want to see him play for our club again. And I am sure I am not alone. Take some compensation, and make sure that contracts that this into account. If the players have to pay out there existing contracts to go overseas, it make make the money not look as good.

And eventually the French clubs will end up like RU in Australia, cash poor because they wasted it all.

as i said before mate, its already covered in contracts and the law already. by accepting the situation it just allows more to do it.

the dogs will get far more in court than they will in a transfer fee.

SBW has assets, and the toulon union club are loaded. milk them for all they are worth.

It's going to happen anyway. While there is bigger money on offer, players are going to go. So make it work for you. Write in the contract that you will allow them to go if compensated.

But at the same time, it drags the saga out. is that good for the game? We have enough bad things happening already. Not to mention the dirt that will come up on the Bulldogs, further tarnishing what remains of their image. I just don't think it is worth putting the game through all that.

Do what SBW did. Take the money and run!!!

mate its already in contracts and contract law. you cant break a contract, if you do you have to pay damages to the other party.

if RL lies down on this it will happen more. hit the player and the toulon union club with a massive lawsuit and they wont be going after players under contract

Think I might be investigating what his manager had to do with this as well,SBW might be a good footballer but lets face it he's not that bright, this has me orchestrated buy others.
I think they may have a case against the agent as well,if so I would be hitting him for a goodly sum as well, thought why these parasites are not made to pay a bond to the NRL I dont know, say 2 mil to be help in trust and the agent loses it if he break's the rules

But that only fixes part of the problem. You have to look at the bigger picture. The French clubs have more money, and will continue to target players. So make it so that you allow them to go if you can make some cash out of it. The NRL has plenty of good youngsters, and we will have plenty more if we have more income coming in via a system like this. AFL will soon find out that every decent Athlete in Sydney has been signed up to play NRL.

Khoder Nasser says that he is not Sonny-Bill's manager. LOL.

Khoder Nasser accuses MG of taking dope and calling him a dog as opposed to Sonny.

Nothing interview, Khoder is a merkin.
